MEXICO CITY – Mexico, supported by 27 other nations, made a declaration at the Organization of American States on Wednesday, slamming U.S. plans to build hundreds of miles (kilometers) of fence on its southern border.

The declaration, read out at the OAS headquarters in Washington, said the barriers would not solve the immigration problem and urged the U.S. government to rethink its position, according to press releases from the OAS and Mexican foreign ministry.

Mexico has also said it will challenge the fence plans at the United Nations.

Do any those countries support terrorism? I know the U.N. does.

Yea, Mexico, the OAS and the UN believe they have the right to tell the US what the US can do within its own borders.

Long past time to boot the anti-US UN out of the country and stop funding the UN COMPLETELY!

" Mexico gets support of 27 nations to attack U.S. plans for border fence in OAS "

I, for one, would love to see that list...

A slower reading of the headline and the article counters the initial impression that it represents 27 OAS members.

Mexico's thoughts on the matter - and the thoughts of the other member-states of the OAS - are utterly irrelevant.

Since when does Mexico, or anyone else in the OAS for that matter, have ANY say in what we do inside our OWN borders?

Here's a list of the member nations of the OAS:

Why would 27 nations even care? Until their economies are on par with the US, they should STFU and try to improve their own economic indicators.

How do they figure that?

If if it is as useless as you say, why do you care, then?

Maybe these 27 nations will instead counter with an offer to provide troops to assist us in patrolling our southern border?

Yeah. Right.

A fence that doesn't exist and covers only a portion of the border is being attacked. Pathetic, isn't it?

Oh, BTW, I believe the President is due to sign this bill today.

Coincidentally, we have an election coming up in 2 weeks and 4 days . . .

Ok, we'll rethink our position.... Maybe landmining the border will solve it.
