The fatwa, dated June 6, 2006, was issued by the "fatwa department" of the Muslim American Society, Minnesota chapter, and signed by society officials.

Mohamud adds that Americans need to learn about Islamic law because the Muslim population here is growing.

I've got a better idea: how about Muslims need to learn about and accept American law and culture or get the heck out of this country?

Better yet, every arriving passenger should have a bottle of wine conspicuously displayed while in the taxi line.

And a big bag of pork rinds.

I said:

...we recognize that one has the right to refuse service to those (well, usually we do) whom they do not wish to serve...

And you said:

So, hospitals and health organizations can refuse to provide abortions?

Pharmacies can refuse to sell contraceptives? -Hmm...

Please do not inject logic or truth into my unreasonable rants.

I fear they may become reasonable and that would ruin my whole day, especially if it sneaks up on me, as I seem to have misplaced my sense of humor.

I think I put it under this damn koran, or maybe it's wrapped up in my raghe...uh, diaperhea..., uh, that turban thingy.

If the locality has laws that force Christian landlords to rent to people they find morally objectionable, then there is no honest reason to allow cab drivers to deny rides to passengers they find objectionable.

"So, hospitals and health organizations can refuse to provide abortions?

Add to that the Christian who refused to offer garden services to a homosexual and is now being sued for discrimination.

"I was surprised and shocked when I heard it was an issue at the airport," said Faysal Omar. "Back in Somalia, there was never any problem with taking alcohol in a taxi."...So, it has nothing to do with their religion. They are just trying to push the envelope here, and we need to push back hard. In fact, we need to push them back to their ancestral hell holes. I hope someone at some point sues them and sues the taxi commission there.

Or not. The group that is pushing the envelope, according to the article: "The international Muslim Brotherhood 'preaches that religion and politics cannot be separated and that governments eventually should be Islamic,' according to the (Chicago) Tribune. U.S. members emphasize that they follow American laws, but want people here to convert to Islam so that one day a majority will support a society governed by Islamic law." This is part of a drive to OVERTHROW OUR FORM OF GOVERNMENT, TREASON pure and simple, and this newspaper can barely bring itself to acknowledge the fact. I do not understand why we are making any effort whatsoever to accommodate their plans.

What a frightening bio, huh? Also, what a totally useless education. He has no skills other than teaching islamic "law" to others who, in turn, will have no skills and will follow the same "professional" path of teaching the same crap. Reminds me a lot of all the totally useless "studies" professors in any U.S. university.
