LOL
The snow's melting rapidly. It was too warm in the days before the blizzard for the ground to freeze. At my end of town (just south of Colorado Springs) there wasn't as much snow--those on the north end and out east are still trying to dig out. Power out to lots of people due to the high winds.
This is Bush's fault?
Anyone listen to the ABC news break with the 5th grader???

Hope Rush has seen the new Michael Steele ad, it is quite apowerful rebuttal to Cardin's Fox stem cell ad:
http://www.steeleformaryland.com/StempCellVideo.htm
Transcript:
STEELE: Im Michael Steele, and I approve this message.
TURNER: Im Dr. Monica Turner. Congressman Ben Cardin is attacking Michael Steele with deceptive, tasteless ads. He is using the victim of a terrible disease to frighten people all for his own political gain.
Mr. Cardin should be ashamed.
Theres something you should know about Michael Steele. He does support stem cell research, and he cares deeply for those who suffer from disease.
How do I know? Im Michael Steeles little sister.
I have MS, and I know he cares about me.
Isn't everything?
When I had a bad accident in the summer, the BBC suspected White House involvement!
Snoop Dog free according to KFI!
All's right with the world.
I posted the reasons I think the Republicans will do better than is expected on a CBS news story about the Democrats taking control. I was rather surprised that the first response was rational and not rabid. I give kudos to whomever that was that responded.
Things I see in the Republican's favor:
- their Get Out The Vote efforts are unmatched
- the economy is viewed positively (its the economy, stupid)
- the Christian Right appears to be severely underpolled and far from being willing to stay home, seems motivated to vote once more.
- over the last two elections, more and more African-Americans are voting Republican. I see no reason for this to change.
- 61% of Americans self-identify as conservative.
All in all, I think it will be much closer than is generally believed. But I do have a question for the Democrats: if the party cannot win in this climate; if somehow the Republicans hold on to everything, what needs to be changed to appeal to more voters?
LOL!
Good morning. I'm here. And here we go!
