Last week my high school celebrated its 50th anniversary. In connection with this a number of "Career Panels" were held where former graduates spoke to current students about their lives. I sat in (as a listener) on one of these panels.
One of the speakers I listened to was Bruce King, who said he was currently a legislative aide to Senator Harry Reid. (He also mentioned a list of other vipers he had previously worked for.) And one of the things he mentioned in the five minutes or so that he spoke, was how "cool" it was to see his own words transformed into a New York Times editorial. I believe King said that the official writer of that editorial was Dorothy Samuels, who also graduated from my high school and who also presented at one of these "career panels."
Now I suppose that this could all be completely natural: they are friends, or something, and they had lunch and he said something that made sense to her and she used it. But I doubt it. There is something unclean, something incestuous, something very dishonest about this. I do not know what the editorial was about, and I do not know if King was quoted, but somehow I doubt it. My guess is that whatever it was, was presented as the opinion of the editorial board of the NYT.

That is why it is known as the Partisan Media.
(Formerly known as the "MSM".)

he sounds like a jerk.
Al Qaeda's... Reid's... what's the diff?
And NO ONE is talking about Reid's scandal, it is completely buried and at least as significant as the Foley incident.
NOW I know how the MSM plans to save money - they're just going to have the Democrats write their "news" articles, and publish the "news" articles under phony bylines. That way they won't have to pay "news" staffers.
Oh, wait - they've been doing that for the last 40 years, anyway.
OK, fall back to plan B...
