It can still be good for Santorum, the GOP and Santorum's campaign just need to highlight the cancellation and extrapolate on the why's and wherefore's. Find out if Casey or his campaign asked Kerry to GET LOST, lol.

Too late for them. The vast majority of the Republican voters in the country is already aware of this story and this will greatly energize our base. Besides, our side of the media, the talk radio and the internet will keep this story alive in until elections day, and our side of the media reach tens of millions of real voters.

Yes, there are some things to consider with this cancellation...Who called for it: Kerry or the other campaigns...?
There were some calls on the talk radio shows saying that the Dems should distance themselves, "shun" him as you write. So if that's the way it is, it's politically smart, and after all what we were demanding.
OTOH, if it's Kerry running from the arena, weeeeeeeeeellllll........
