Yep. And they are NOT in favor of granting Muslim women equality and human dignity. An argument made by Ayaan Hirsan Ali. If they were feminists, they would recognize the place most steeped in hatred of the Second Sex is the Muslim World.

Actually, we are all more similar than you think...

Three newly married women were chatting one day.
An American.
An Asian.
A Muslim.

The American lady said, "I told my boyfriend that I wanted a nice house in the suburbs, a new SUV and a big diamond, or I wouldn't marry him.
One week went by, I didn't see him.
Two weeks, I didn't see him.
Finally, on the third week - he showed up with a diamond, an SUV and a home in the suburbs and we're happy together now.

The Asian lady said, "Oh it was similar for me too! I told my fiancee that I wanted an apartment in Tokyo. One week went by I didn't see him. Two weeks, I didn't see him - out drinking with his friends. The third week he shows up at my door with flowers and no news, but we made up and we're happy together."

The Muslim lady said, "It was similar for me too! I told my husband I didn't want to wear a Burkha. One week went by, I didn't see him. Two weeks went by, I didn't see him. By the third week the swelling in my left eye went down enough so I could see the new burkha I got for my 12th birthday ...

It is a culture that answers, "How do we deal with sexual stimulation?" by dehumanizing women and sexual apartheid. The underlying concept in practice seems to be, "Women stimulate me, so they must be evil, unless carefully controlled."

I read a stat yesterday that over 70 percent of the women in jail in Pakistan are in for fornication...(and many of those are most likely the victims of rape who complained.) With laws requiring 4 male witnesses to a crime that usually has no witnesses, it is an impossible situation. And well designed for sexual perverts.

And because of the ritual defilement and honor overtones, it is a fate far worse in Islamic cultures to be raped, because you forever will be seen as unclean. There is no getting over it.
