How would Andrew Sullivan know what are the traditions are of the US armed forces?

Secondly, who reads Time Magazine anymore?

Andrew Sullivan (Other People's Rectums Party - NY) continues to lie as much as he feels like it.

In a showdown for control of Baghdad, the Iraqi prime minister took orders from Moqtada al-Sadr, and instructed the U.S. military to withdraw from Sadr City. The American forces were trying both to stabilize the city but also to find a missing American serviceman. He is still missing.

What do the orders from the Iraqi PM have to do with GWB?

This "story" is just that... a fairy tale. File it under "Contrived News Unsupported By Rational Thought".

Sadr needs killing, and unless we're willing to do what it takes to put that thug in a hole we're not going to have a successful outcome in Iraq.

I have been a staunch supporter of the invasion and the tactics. I agree that if it is possible, establishing a democracy (read representative republic) in the Middle East is a solution to our problems.

But we won't establish jack until we have respect, and to gain respect among the Musselmen, we're going to have to kill a mess of them. On thug stands up to us and we are viewed as weak.

Kill Sadr.

Andrew Sullivan is just off on planet Sullivan somewhere, wondering why he isn't embraced more by the people.

A strange one.

If Bush had ordered the checkpoints to stay in place, the same media wankers would be ripping into him for not respecting the elected government of Iraq.

Last week, I saw this guy for the first time on Glenn Beck's show. I don't recall what they were discussing, but I thought this Andrew Sullivan was weird. Something not right with this guy.

Nobody's abandoned this kid... U.S. SpecOps probably have every street corner and back alley covered looking for him.

And backed off because of international pressure.
All three kidnapped soldiers are still missing.
