WASHINGTON -- HBO rejected a call by Diebold Election Systems to pull the documentary "Hacking Democracy" from its schedule or air company disclaimers questioning the accuracy of film.
In a letter to HBO chairman and CEO Chris Albrecht, Diebold seeks to have 30-second disclaimers before, after and during the docu that is critical of the computerized election systems that are used in most precincts nationwide. The film is scheduled to air Thursday.
HBO spokesman Jeff Cusson said the company "stands by our film and has no intention of withdrawing the film from its schedule."

Killborn vetoes HBO.
Yes! Dems might as well stay home. (kidding, sort of)
Finally a network gets some balls.
cinemax, or should i say skin-emax, is better!
I see these stories on Big Media outlets and never once hear the reason we all have electronic voting today is because Democrats are too stupid to operate a punch-ballot!
Is Time Warner good for America?
HBO has a long and proud history of making fictumentaries.
Bingo. My thoughts, exactly.
Now if only you could get some brains.
About what? It's good that the whole country knows about Diebold's incompetence and desire to escape accountability, especially when their machines will be recording millions of votes.
They not only get what they demand and use it to undermine confidence in the electoral process, but then after telling minorities for years their votes will not be counted, they now have to motivate minorities to the polls...at the same time saying your vote is critical and your vote is meaningless.
Where are the facts to back up your conspiracy?
There are no facts, silly!
And it is the very lack of facts that is the ultimate proof that the conspiracy is true!
They're the same company....
It's not conspiracy. It's well-documented, and I've posted the evidence on various other e-voting threads here. Feel free to Google any of the following:
Specifically, a series of leaked memos prove Diebold doesn't care about security, accuracy or accountability. That Diebold tried to cover them up shows that Diebold doesn't want its dirty secrets known.
Diebold has modified machines after they were certified (California).
The security of some of Diebold's models is known to be horrible, as was demonstrated by Prof. Edward Felten (totally owned in under a minute with physical access).
Diebold sued North Carolina so that it wouldn't have to comply with elections laws.
The kicker for me about their attitude to security is one simple fact: Anyone can go to an office furniture supply store and buy the key that opens the back of all Diebold TS series voting machines. Poor Prof. Felten, his guys had to pick the lock before this fact was discovered (but it's a cheap lock, so it only took an amateur 10 seconds).
However, I'm only complaining about Diebold here. I like the idea of e-voting, if it's done well.
I'd like some actual evidence of what you are suggesting and not just from Keith Olbermann and tin foil wearing lunatics.
Please provide actual proof, links of credibility, etc.
I'm not going to google anything.
You made the accusations on this thread, and if you can't back them up with some links, then we'll have to assume Diebold is attempting to deflect the MSM propanganda.
