When they parole people like this, the parolee should be required to live next door to a parole board member's family.
It's not supposed to be a deterrent; it's supposed to be PUNISHMENT -- a concept which most death penalty opponents and other leftists object to under any circumstances. A nice side-effect is that it's an anti-recurrent measure.
Forget next door. Let them live IN a parole board member's home. No volunteers? Well that would settle the question of whether or not to parole.
Is there an email address I can write to and give the parole board a piece of my mind?
Looks like a future MA resident to me, and remember Gov. Deval Patrick says he doesn't know if you have to register with the sex-offender registry.
That would make it about 10 a lifespan ??? HUH?
This is the nightmare of liberal courts and judges.
IMHO the family should be allowed to bring suit against those who paroled this animal. The courts have certainly allowed more 'frivolous' suits to be heard.
This guy should be studied. While he is on death row, science should have access to him to study what makes him do what he does. Im not looking for cures, Im looking for the gene that causes it. Sex offenders are wired wrong-they cant be cured, so now that he has murdered again, he owes a debt to science as well as society. Find out what causes the people to do stuff like this and maybe we can head it off in young people who might offend. Awaiting the flames..

It truly is unbelievable. To a little 16 yr old girl, he probably looked like a kindly grandfather offering her a lift home.

It's entirely possible he just wanted to go back to prison. After 27 years there of being told what to do, when to do it, getting his meals regularly--it just gets comfortable. Compared to being a dishwasher it's an easy life for an old man. It wouldn't be the first time it's happened.
True. However, he could have just committed a run of the mill felony. Drunk driving, caught with a gun or vote. Well, voting would earn him accolades from some, but you get the point. Still, the urge to murder and rape is a clinical issue that we dont know much about. It would be nice to see a judge sentence a repeat sex offender to poking and probing of his wiring as part of a sentence..
