Kingsport is in predominantly GOP east Tennessee.

I think that sounds good for Bob Corker's chances.

Sounds pretty positive to me; if, as someone else on this thread said, it's a primarily GOP district it would be a good trend for the GOP nationwide.

Heavy turnout in East Tennessee bodes well for Corker.

Shelby County also has had a heavy turnout. The marriage prop and senior property tax freeze is probably the reason.

That is incredible. Do you mean someone 'misunderestimated'?

There is absolutely no excuse for something like this to happen. It's just sad.

I'm just trying to picture this poor machine, with all those electrons spilling out the top through the cracks as the ballots just won't fit.....

But the dinosaur media said the Republicans weren't going to vote this election. Who'd a thunk?

Good news for Republicans.

Democrats won't vote unless they're given money and a ride to the polls.

I took my handicapped cousin to Jonesboro CourtHouse today and voted on this last day for early voting ... the line was out the door, onto the sidewalk, and most conversation was angry conservatives voting early when they had not planned on voting this cycle but since Kerry and the democrap party showed their true despicable nature they needed to be sent a message! We East Tennessee Volunteers love our military people and will not ignore such despicable insult and condescension toward them! I hope Murtha is booted out and shamed, also.

Now, after the pubbies hold on to Congress, we the people need to storm the halls and let them know we will no longer tolerate their ignoring our conservative values and want to see real fight against the degeneracy of the anti-American, anti-military bastard brats of the demcorat party leadership ... '08 and hatellary are only a heartbeat away!

This is ludicrous with todays technology.

It's not the technology. It sounds as if they were programmed to hold no more than 10,000 and that now they were being reprogrammed. Sounds like human error.
