Obama's dealings with Rezko buy a parcel of questions
Chicago Sun Times ^ | November 2, 2006 | MARK BROWN

Sen. Barack Obama may have thought a wrought iron fence would give him all the separation he needed from indicted Wilmette businessman Antoin "Tony" Rezko.

But before everything is said and done, our star senator is going to wish he'd done a lot more a lot sooner to distance himself from his longtime political supporter.

'I don't recall' says Obama

A question of judgment

You'd get the impression that the normally glib Obama was dissembling.

Ruh Roh!

It will be hard to explain this one away. Obama's dreams for a run at the POTUS just went poof.

Rezko's gonna do time, so is Hurtgen...and Obama will be found out as a fool for allowing this piece of pond scum (Rezko) to come anywhere near him.

On the other hand, this will be good stuff to watch unfold. Nothing beats watching a preening schmo squirm.

People ask me what he has accomplished to deserve all this attention, and what I tell them is that it's not what he's done as much as what he could do. His potential is vast and undeniable.

In other words, "He hasn't done anything to merit all this fawning from the press."

...snip... no small matter in a man who would be president.

Oh, puhl-ease! Wishful thinking.

This should be viewed in the context of who benefits.

The fireworks are starting early.

From the article...the author's point of view:

"People ask me what he has accomplished to deserve all this attention, and what I tell them is that it's not what he's done as much as what he could do. His potential is vast and undeniable."

"Undeniable", is it...? Sure. Gee golly wow, this black dude is the next f**king MESSIAH, isn't he ace? I mean, just LOOK at him on TV!!!!!!!!!!!

No.....don't. Don't do that. Don't look....for if you do, you see the sum-total of any qualification he has ever had for higher office. He's "telegenic". That's it...and apparently, that's enough. Yes, I'm serious.

Such is American politics in 2006. We deserve whatever we get, people.

His potential is vast and undeniable

Yes that is a real hoot.

I can tell you he has not done anything other than be telegenic. Mayor Daley for all his fault and foibles has done more than Barack Obama

I don't recall...

A famous quotation from...yes! Now I remember Sir Hillary Clinton. Speaking of Sir Hillary doesn't this shot at Osama Obama reduce his chances as a competitor? She wouldn't do that, would she?

Could do? But maybe won't either. If his potential is so vast and undeniable, then certainly we would've seen evidence of it by now.

I won't be voting for him, ever.
