The Acorn Indictments - A union-backed outfit faces charges of election fraud.
Wall Street Journal ^ | November 3, 2006 | Masthead Editorial

So, less than a week before the midterm elections, four workers from Acorn, the liberal activist group that has registered millions of voters, have been indicted by a federal grand jury for submitting false voter registration forms to the Kansas City, Missouri, election board. But hey, who needs voter ID laws? We wish this were an aberration, but allegations of fraud have tainted Acorn voter drives across the country. Acorn workers have been convicted in Wisconsin and Colorado, and investigations are still under way in Ohio, Tennessee and Pennsylvania.

The good news for anyone who cares about voter integrity is that the Justice Department finally seems poised to connect these dots instead of dismissing such revelations as the work of a few yahoos. After the federal indictments were handed up in Kansas City this week, the U.S. Attorney's office said in a statement that "This national investigation is very much ongoing."

Let's hope so. Acorn officials bill themselves as nonpartisan community organizers merely interested in giving a voice to minorities and the poor. In reality, Acorn is a union-backed, multimillion-dollar outfit that uses intimidation and other tactics to push for higher minimum wage mandates and to trash Wal-Mart and other non-union companies.

Operating in at least 38 states (as well as Canada and Mexico), Acorn pushes a highly partisan agenda, and its organizers are best understood as shock troops for the AFL-CIO and even the Democratic Party. As part of the Fannie Mae reform bill, House Democrats pushed an "affordable housing trust fund" designed to use Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac profits to subsidize Acorn, among other groups. A version of this trust fund actually passed the Republican House and will surely be on the agenda again next year.

Acorn and its affiliates have pulled some real stunts in recent...

We need to hope they are convicted and given serious setences. Then, and only then, will they be willing to talk and reveal the entire scope of the ACORN conspiracy to undermine our election laws.

<< I completely agree. >>

Hard to find a differing opinion on Historical Fact.

Only founded-in-incredulity or knowledge-of-and/or-participant-in and/or-beneficiary-from the-fraud arguments.

And given that the "Democrat's" only purpose is to achieve power by any means for the purpose of the definitive systemic looting and thieving its members, it wholely owned legions of mobbed-up-unionized parasitical bureaucrats, its "contractors" and its "suppliers" have long called "patronage," little wonder that such of its thuggish capo de capo tuttis (Hammer and Rich and Soros et al and the employers of the likes of Alger Hiss) and/or those (as in the case of the drug-addicted and/or alcoholic Kennedys, the hapless drunkard, Lyndon Johnson, of the predatory co-serial-rapist Cli'tons and of the dangerously dullard Carter and two generations of Gores and of Kohn-Kerrys -- who but front for them) as often as come from no-where, demonstrate not a single creative, innovative, productive and/or industrious talent and/or ability -- and all die if not (2006 Dollar) Billionaires, (Johnson, Cli'tons) worth at least Scores and as likely Hundreds of Millions of Dollars!

For as long as the Socialist International-serving "Democrats" wholly-owned legions of mobbed-up-unionized parasitical bureaucrats continue to be so wholly-owned, operated and controlled, (And it's been that way, thus far, for around eighty years!) the "Democrats" legions of contracted election defrauders will NEVER be stopped.

Let alone be "convicted and given serious sentences."

For the dims' definitive massive election fraud -- and their practice of lying to folks too stupid to know they're being lied to and/or too damned mean-spirited and greedy to care -- are the only means by way of which any member of that gormless gang is ever elected to even a Dogcatcher's office.

<< Not surprising, but somehow I doubt Katie, Charlie, Brian, etc. will be interested in this. >>

Socialist Internationalists all: (And/or that gang's usefully-idiotic slavering savants) "Katie, Charlie, Brian" et al are participants and are as much the instruments of "this" as are those who've been arrested.

a big bttt

On the tube yesterday they had examples in KC of multiple voter registrations using concocted names, different ss#, and so on. I think in KC area alone they had a quarter million alone that were suspect. And the head of Acorn, the head nut, was claiming innocence.
