Since when is the *handling of the economy* been in the President's job description anyway? If I understand how the government was originally set up, this wasn't part of it.

No: 56%

Not sure: 1%

Interesting, went to vote and it was already marked yes for me just had to pull the lever.

The premise for the title is wrong. Bush doesn't "handle" the economy, Clinton didn't "handle" the economy, Reagan didn't "handle" the economy.

Government can do two things with respect to the economy. 1. Provide a framework that prevents transactions with force or fraud; and 2. Inhibit economic growth by taxation or misallocation of resources. Lowering taxes is the only way to positively affect the economy. Removing or lessening a negative factor isn't "handling" anything.

Private business and workers are the ones who "handle" the economy.

"Must be over as the numbers are there "
I think I had to hit "refresh" to vote once I was at link. Possibly, the link was to the poster's results.

Of course. Sometimes they lock polls before all the votes are cast.

Kind of like what they do in real life.

It's the same MO as 04, 02, and possibly 00. Huge D upset, narrowing but still D win, truth.

How is the election in your neck of the woods?

This says it all: "Santorum 'Closing Hard,'......'Senator Santorum has a history of 'closing hard at the end of his campaigns,'..."

My neck of the woods is Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, and Rick is indeed "closing hard".

How about yours?

Taxachuseetts. Despite the spin and lies, I think Healey has a better chance than many is giving her. Too close to call right now.

I'm voting for the other guy running against the odious Toad, even if he had no chance of winning.

Straight ticket GOP, baby. :)

LOL :)

I was born in that state, in Springfield. My brother has a different descriptive for your state. But we both know there are still some wonderfully good people, like yourself, who live there.

Thanks for making me laugh!
