Don't expect to archive these documents on CD's. The useful life of burned CD's can be as low as 2 years. Any data you intend to keep for more than 18 months should be kept on disk or moved to tape.

this makes me even more worried now about Tuesday, if the Dem's take over, I fear this stuff will never see the light of day. It will be covered up and lost in the media frenzy over the Dem's winning, and that will be the headline news for weeks to come....scary stuff.

Not only that, but I would expect jveritas to receive a visit or two from some "g" men, whether they be FBI, or house/senate investigators to interview him and to request return of everything downloaded from the site before it was closed. I wouldn't doubt in the least that the Rats, including Hillary, will trump up some charge that he somehow violated national security or at the very least threaten him with such action if he does not cooperate.

Fortunately this Marine survived and is said to be in good condition in a military hospital - but what does it say about the desperation of the Slimes that they are putting a "snuff shot" of Americans shot by a terrorist above the fold, 3 days before the elections?

Along with an external hard drive, I have also soon companies selling what they call "archive" quality CD-R's. The cost more than the usual CD-R you buy, but they claim that they will last at least 20 years, and believe they will last for almost 100 years. A google search should yield results. I would make multiple copies on multiple media.

I had to laugh, or cry, at the illogic of the MSM hand-wringers and bed wetters "Someone posted classified documents on the web" they wailed. Now these were Iraqi documents, and I imagine at least some of them were classified by them. But they could not have been classified by US, because no one had read them that could understand that they needed to be classified, if in indeed they do. Why had they been read? Because they were in Arabic and had not been translated. It was the Arabic versions that were posted, was it not?

Which suggests an interesting question. Was there anything about those documents that suggests they might have themselves been translations from another language. Say Pakistani flavored English, Urdu, or even Persian, Chinese or Russian? I also figure that if Saddam had anything worth classifying in the way of nuclear secrets, and he probably did, I imagine copies had already made their way to Al Qaida and Iran, assuming that either or both had not already gotten them from the Khan network.

Yes I just watched it, all but the first 10 minutes that is. Maybe it will awaken a few sheeple. More likely it will be dismissed as right wing propaganda intended to influence the election. The timing of the Fox show may have been intended to influed the election and I hope like heck that it does.
