Posted on 11/04/2006 11:31:34 AM PST by jveritas
The New York Times published their article yesterday where they claimed that the Foreign Military Intelligence Office (FMSO) website posted few captured Iraqi documents about Saddam regime nuclear program and that these document contain a lot of technological details that can be used by country like Iran to help them in their nukes program. The New York Times said that it was the IAEA (International Atomic Energy Agency) who complained to the US government about this few weeks ago.
Congressman Pete Hoekstra (R-MI), Chairman of the House Intelligence Committee disputed the New York Times article and part of his statement to rebuttal the article he said this .. Second, my staff's preliminary review of the documents in question suggests that at least some of them may be internal IAEA documents. There is a serious question of why and how the Iraqi these documents in the first place. We need to explore that carefully - I certainly hope there will be no evidence that the IAEA had been penetrated by Saddam's regime.Link: Rep. Hoekstra (Republican) responds to NYTimes http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1731635/posts ..
Well Congressman Hoekstra is RIGHT. Document ISGP-2003-00020767 which is dated February 1997 talks about Saddam regime spying on the IAEA and working to get The researches and studies that are done by the IAEA. The spying on the IAEA was a part of the intelligence gathering that the Iraqi were doing in Vienna where the IAEA headquarters are, also they were spying on OPEC which is also has its headquarters in Vienna, as well as spying on the Austrian government. Although this is a 1997 intelligence work plan, it is not something new that the Iraqis have been doing, they have been spying on the IAEA prior to 1997.
Below is a partial translation of document ISGP-2003-00020767 , page 1 and page 6 of the document.

PS: If you wonder how did I get the document when the FMSO website is shut, this documents was part of hundreds of captured Iraqi documents I downloaded and saved on CDs.
bookmark for later read! More great work!! THANK YOU JV!!
I dont trust the IAEA or the UN as far as I can throw the UN building.
Hope you send this to him (if you haven't already)
Thanks for your tireless, great work!
Not yet, I think it is a good idea to send it to his office.
Excellent, Joseph! Yes, send this to Rep. Hoekstra right away!
You are the jewel of FR! Shine on! :^)
Yeah, when Saddam's goons were not busy infiltrating both the IAEA and the UN Inspectors they were merely thwarting and intimidating them at every turn. How could any honest person prior to March 2003 believe anything except that Saddam was never going to stay WMD-free?? (and he didn't, he made sure he kept all sorts of equipment, supplies, and documents so that he could re-start "surge" production at any time, according to good KGB doctrine).
For all the wonderful and difficult work you do here, I hereby nominate you for a Noble Prize. No, there's nothing wrong with my spelling. The Nobel Prize is given by liberals to liberals, dictators, and other miscreants. Heck, no less a war criminal than Yassir Arafat was a winner of the Nobel Peace Prize.
What you are doing is really noble. We are all in your debt.
That was good thinking, Joe. I'd be curious as to who Iraq had working in Vienna back then. And under what cover. Think I'll google around a bit.
PS: I like your user name :)
"this documents was part of hundreds of captured Iraqi documents I downloaded and saved on CDs."
I was sooooooooohoping you had done that! Glad to hear it.
The above is the IAEA timeline of events concerning Iraq inspections. Just FYI.
These past few days have been full of pleasant surprises.
There has to be a way to get GWB to give you a medal of freedom or something...
Freedom exists because of people like you, Joseph. Thanks.
If the MSM was even remotely responsible, these translations would be front page news every other day. Instead, we have to fight to get them any notice whatsoever. Stinking commie scum
Thank you very much for the info, it always helps to have it.
God bless our troops.
I wonder why Iraq would need to SPY on the IAEA...I have always gotten the impression that the UN and the IAEA are on THEIR side!!
I know the IAEA is on Iran's side, right now...
Brilliant move on your part, Joseph...congratulations and thank you for your service.

Everyone, please send this to every media outlet you can.
So this is why the left has wanted the web site shut down -- not because of danger that other countries could access information regarding the atom bomb. Jveritas easily proved that the info on that web site has existed from other country's web sites since at least 2002.
you write: "Excellent, Joseph! Yes, send this to Rep. Hoekstra right away! "
"I wonder why Iraq would need to SPY on the IAEA...I have always gotten the impression that the UN and the IAEA are on THEIR side!!
I know the IAEA is on Iran's side, right now..."
Bingo!! That's why the IAEA was writing letters trying to get the site shut down and then finally leaked the info to the NYT in order to get the times to cover for them!
There may be evidence that many of the materials that the IAEA reported that they had "removed or rendered harmless" in their many reports over the years were indeed found in Iraq after the war and were not so 'harmless or removed'!!
Good move, jveritas in down loading those Docs.
Media emails-the formula: if they hear from 40 to 45 people on a story, they will cover it.
CAUTION: do not mass email - they wont look at it email singly

Thank you for your efforts, Joseph.
I wonder if it might be better to compile the links that jveritas has been working on the last few days, before we send this one to the media, so that they are in context.
or should we just send a link to jv's website?
Keep up the good work jveritas...it's time the American people know what went on in Iraq. It won't be in time for the 2006 election, but more docs will be translated over the next two years.
And I would not be surprised in the least to find Al Baridi and the IAEA were in bed with Saddam just like the UN's oil for fruad thing was.
Haven't they just! makes me feel like

And you Joseph. We are fighting a war on many fronts. Your efforts unshackle a lot of us who are mentally enslaved by anti-truth, anti-freedom, anti-life propagandists.
I imagine there are a lot of very nervous media folk and politicos that are shaking in their boots, knowing that if the pubbies win - they are not going to able to bury a lot of stuff that will come out.
Certainly Kennedy, when he was working with the KGB against both CArter and Reagan (towards his goal of a Socialist Amerika - long before THE WALL came down, never expected that we would ever have access to KGB files - ditto now with Saddam's files - Lot's of rats gonna be uncovered...IF we get our butts out there and vote like our lives depend on it - they do
Thanks for you all you do man! I am glad I pointed out that Hoekstra thread to you in another topic, you have really uncovered some groundbreaking stuff, I just now hope that Hoekstra can get the word out!
You write: "Everyone, please send this to every media outlet you can."
this makes me even more worried now about Tuesday, if the Dem's take over, I fear this stuff will never see the light of day. It will be covered up and lost in the media frenzy over the Dem's winning, and that will be the headline news for weeks to come....scary stuff.
Short and sweet or they wont look at it - email them a one sentence or close to it - no opinion - just the story - include link - but no lengthy letter - they wont read it - they'll just pass it by
