How can this be a hate crime, only whites commit hate crimes. /sarc
Long Beach has plenty of gangs. Hispanic, Black and Asian. The area is surrounded by the hood.
Not only THAT but I've lived long enough on this planet to see white mobs behaving just as badly.
I wonder if bon mots has ever heard of SDS and The Weathermen Days of Rage.
Not to excuse black hoodlums because I have seen them do a lot of dirt too.But whites,Mexicans and Asians can get downright ugly also.

Oh yes. It's not a color thing. It is a generational thing. I can laugh and chat with the black neighbors as long as they are over 30. We have made some kind of horrible mistake raising this young generation of kids on hiphop/gangsta. We forgot to civilize them somehow.
I'm from the generation that calls it a ghetto!

You honestly think this is an isolated incident? I worked in Detroit most of my life. I have been shot at, attempted robbery on me, attempted assault. This list goes on. It was ONLY due to my abilities in self defense that I was able to remedy the situation quickly.
You obviously have had the luxury of associating with non-ghetto blacks/non violent. That is lovely....you sit there and hold hands singing kumbaya. But I will not let my defenses down for a nano second.
My niece was just assaulted last year on her school bus by blacks...you know why? Because she got all A's on her report card. During the video, watch the other blacks near the fight....notice the smiles on their faces...Wanna see the video of it? Here you go...

If this is not enough for you, take a look at this one...also a suburb of Detroit, used to be all white. But in the past ten years, we have a flood of inner city blacks moving into our neighborhoods... Watch this little boy get beat up!

Too bad nobody had a videocam. This incident would then get as much media coverage as the Rodney King incident.

I came here from your area, too. I hated it at first. But there are some wonderful things here and the climate is perfect, best in the entire country. However, I am not staying here if this type of ghoulish crime is not considered as anything out of the ordinary by leaders and media here.

I'm surprised this local station even played up the racial angle. You can imagine the national outcry that would have followed if the races were reversed. It would be like James Byrd all over again.
WHY can't we have HONESTY in crime reporting? Don't we all just want to know the facts, no matter what they would be? It's very upsetting. Protecting one class of criminals will only encourage them.

Funny you see one dog by himself and he is skittish and not a problem. You get that same dog in a pack and all of a sudden he's a killer.
