LOL...yeah, if Tuesday is as "bad" as 2004, we might just have to have a ticker tape parade to get rid of our depression....hehe
If Hoekstra is SMART, and interested in staying in the majority....he will use his time tomorrow to shake his pom-poms at the NYTimes for "finally admitting that Bush was right" about going into Iraq...
Rather than even hinting at blaming anyone in the Admin for putting those docs on the internet.
Did you see the thread from Iraq....with the Gold Star Families...and kristinn, with Move America Forward???
Yes I did and they are in my prayers. This is a terrible time to go to Iraq. I hope they know what they are doing.
You are right...but, I am sure that if my son had died over there....I would not be afraid...it would be too important to see where he last "lived"...
I am glad they are going to areas of Iraq that the MSM never shows.
I think it says a lot that the Kurds have ASKED the USA to build a permanent military base there....
There are Iraqis that appreciate what we have sacrificed...and I don't mean money.
I was SO hoping that there would be more "good guys" on this last Sunday before the election...but, that was too much to ask I guess.
Did you ever see the Tracy / Hepburn movie Pat and Mike? She's a fantastic female athlete, in multiple sports, kind of like Babe Didrickson Zaharias. He's a tough guy sports promoter. The fall in love and, during that process, someone asks him what he sees in that skinny girl. His reply is there's "not much meat on her, but what's there is cherce."
That's how I view todays (real) Republicans. The list includes some "cherce" guests, such as VP Cheney, Majority Leader Boehner, Michael Steele, and Pete Hoekstra. Granted, a lopsided list of guests overall, but we've got some real heavy hitters in there.
And I am sure you are right as well.
I think it says a lot that the Kurds have ASKED the USA to build a permanent military base there....
I would sleep better at night if my son were there. That is for sure.
There are Iraqis that appreciate what we have sacrificed...and I don't mean money.
Of course there are. There are millions of them. You just don't hear about them in the MSM.
I heard Steffie say that Adelman and Perl in the piece saying what seem to be awful things about the Administration. I have already seen the responses coming in from these guys and Frum and Ledeen and they are furious. They were misquoted, taken out of context and, in addition, were promised this would not be published before the election. Will Steffie make anyone aware of their angry rebuttles? I don't think so.
Very true...at least they weren't all Lindsay Graham's and Liddy Dole's...
The News Watch guys are NOT getting what the deal was on the Kerry story. They are missing it entirely.
Hi everyone!
Sleuth - I totally concur w you! Boehner is getting better and Chuckie and Rahm make me cringe (and gives me the heebee jeebees)- - especially the later even when he was in the WH - what a lying snake.
Fox News said she is in Pennsylvania today, campaigning!
Superb job again! Hope you're feeling well!

Yes....I pray that your son is okay...I know there is a LOT of tension in anticipation of Saddam's verdict and sentence..
I have to say that jon carry's little stunt last week has truly intensified our respect and prayers for our troops, here on FR...and I betcha it is that way across America right now.
Have you heard from your son about that??
Great way of looking at it, Phsstpok! And, of course, you are correct (as usual ;-) Cheney and Steele are among the cream of the crop. And, I've always liked Hoekstra and he's come out fairly strong about the documents thus far, and Boehner is getting better as he gets more face time (plus, IMHO he has a great voice!)
First of all...they should NEVER have believed that Vanity Fair would wait until after the election...sheesh.
Second of all...if they had watched what they said...they wouldn't have to be MAD now. Frum and Ledeen have been know to be very outspoked against the Administration..no surprise there.
If the Beltway Boys on Fox are a harbinger of the Sunday shows it is gloom and doom for the Republicans. They estimated and predicted 22 to 30 loss in the House and 4-6 loss in the Senate. Guaranteeing according to them a RAT House and a good chance for a RAT Senate.
All the doom and gloom is based on the polls. Allegedly Republicans are a fast disappearing species and are about to be overtaken and stamped out by the liberal Democrats who are claiming to be more "conservative" than they have been.
The polls are all based on a preponderance of RAT voters even though the exit polls in 2004 showed 37% RAT and 37% Republican.
All are in full cry the war is lost and we should "cut and run." A disaster awaits us if they are right.
