I changed my diet, increased certain vitamins and have managed to keep my Lupus in remission for over ten years. I have slight flair ups in the summer -- with 120 degrees and constant sun it's pretty hard not to -- but, for the most part I do very well...
I'm sorry your granddaughter has diabetes. I know Juvenile Diabetes is very difficult. I saw a report on 60-minutes about a year ago where one of the researchers at Howard Hughes Institute had two children with diabetes and had totally changed the focus of his research to try and find a cure.
