Saturday Shows for 11/04/06

Below are the topics and guests announced for these programs, along with my take on the "memes" that the shows are trying to push.  With each guest's name are a series of links that I found in a web search that helped me get a handle on who they are and what their likely positions will be when they are interviewed.

The Beltway Boys (Mort Kondrake, Fred Barnes)

CNBC's Tim Russert Show (Tim Russert)

Fox News Watch (Eric Burns)

Journal Editorial Report (Paul Gigot) - FNC show page

before we change over from campaign mode to litigation mode

An early gift of laughter (or a groan, more likely). Evenin', friend. Hope you are will.

The Weekend Talk Show Preview Thread is up

Posted at FreeRepublic

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/1732385/posts

And cross posted to my blog at

http://wizards.townhall.com/

See the initial post for my "usual witty commentary."  Some excerpts:

It's the last weekend shows before we change over from campaign mode to litigation mode in this election cycle and the Dhimmicrats and the DBM are in full on hysterics...

With the exception of CNN the line ups this week are arguably reasonable, but that doesn't count the relentless propaganda campaign that has been waged against some of the Republican guests and the outrageous cover ups being perpetrated to protect all Dhims all the time.  I don't think that Henry Waxman admitting that he was a serial killer in a speech on the floor of the House would make the DBM's top news right now... CNN's line up is simply obscene.  There are only two Republicans (one of them questionable) and eleven folks with severe BDS (Bush Derangement Syndrome), twelve if understand Lindsey's true nature...

Note: I got the thread up before Beltway Boys began, but didn't get the Ping off.  That shows you how tight it is this weekend.   <g>

well, but tired, thanks.

Two weeks on the road is not as easy as it used to be. Good sessions both down in Texas and this week up in Chicago and my wife and I got to spend a good bit of time with our daughter up there. She actually drove back home with us on the spur of the moment and will fly back up Sunday on travel vouchers that my wife has earned as a travel agent. All in all a good but tiring set of trips.

Next week I'll try to be a little bit earlier on posting the thread, though. ;^>

Ms. McCaskill, what should be done to Jim Talent now that we know he wants to murder Michael J. Fox?

ROTFL!!!!!

The 'RATS are a real hoot! I'll bet Talent doesn't own the 3 disc DVD set of the Back To The Future moves either.

Gloom & doom on Beltway Boys... Fred's first words.

Fred is incompetent, at least in any rapid fire debate format. He actually said "I'm groping here."  Fred, you're always groping.

Mort, on the other hand, is simply insufferable.

As usual....EXCELLENT thread...and even better commentary.

I have seen Boehner on Fox 2-3 times in the last week or so...and IMHO..he has gotten better and better at NOT spinning anything....he just talks straight.

Now, there were times that I wondered about him...but, he has done well...and I now wish that he had been more of a "spokesman" for the GOP all along.

Rahm Emanuel and Chuckie Schumer...two of the smarmiest, oiliest, most likely to be crooked, polticians in Wash.DC>..

also, MHO, of course.

Hello,

Doom and Gloom, AGAIN????

Geez, I thought it was bad enough when we lost in 2000. 2002 was the pits, hard to take, but nothing like the depression that set in after we lost everything in 2004. If 2006 is like that....

Glad to be here, MOgirl

I do have to admit to waiting rather impatiently this afternoon for this thread..

It is one of my favorites...and I was SO hoping that there would be more "good guys" on this last Sunday before the election...but, that was too much to ask I guess.
