Ellen RATner said this morning that Nancy was busy running for her own seat, at home.

Well gee, did that seat get competitive somehow? Hhhhhhmmmm. Maybe the polls are wrong. ;-)

Ed Morrisey at http://wwwcaptainsquartersblog.com is suspicious of the sudden attention on this Christian pastor story, since the church he pastored is not as large as the captain's parish church.

The accuser failed a lie detector test and there may be an investigation to find out if he was paid to come out with this story to influence the election.

What evangelical churches has A. Sullivan addressed, and in what capacity? His view of the world is now through the sliver of glass that is his homosexuality.

Our attitude to our own sexuality are normally just another aspect of our being, for Sullivan it has become the reason for his being.

One of the office libs at work is fond of saying "well, how's your imaginary friend today?" He really cannot stand those who practice Christianity. Never a comment about Islam, etc.

He was as happy as a clam when word came concerning the minister in Colorado, so much so he was sporting a smile.

Fox News is showing serious signs of aging, led by steep audience declines

Fox has become the very thing that I turned off the alphabets for. They have very pretty girls, including Shep Smith, who chirp and smile inappropriately. They have "fun" segments that make me grind my teeth. They bring on highly partisan people for their "balance" rather that thoughtful people with different points of view. They should call Rush Limbaugh and ask him for a critique of how you keep the most informed audience on the planet. Right now, for example, the ladies are giggling about Saddam's death sentence.

The one telling evidence of Democrats being unpatriotic and anti American is we rarely, if ever, see the American flag on their vehicles.  They will put anti-Bush stickers on them, pro various causes on them and support your local Democrat stickers... but never the American flag.

I guess their heart isn't in it.

If you are wondering what the botox queen has been up to here is a little update from our friends over at scrapple face. You will find it here.

http://www.scrappleface.com/

Seems the ol' botox queen has been in secret conferences with the top of her dem/rat leaders which include gay coalitions, homeless criminals, gangs, prisoners,al qaeda,al jazerra and other top Democrat leaders.
Here is what they came up with:It's time to take San Francisco values to the red states what a concept! I'm sure she will be revered in Alabama or Georgia.
It's worth checking out. There is also a good kerry take there as well.

Fox News’s total audience fell 24 percent in the past year, to 1.3 million viewers from 1.7 million, and its key primetime audience, viewers ages 25-54, was down 7 percent in October on a year-to-year basis, to an average 363,000 viewers, according to Nielsen Media Research data.

That is an interesting article, and per ususual the pundits reach the wrong conclusions about the cause of the audience drop. I can hardly believe that someone would say with a straight face, that 2005 was an "incredible year for news compared to 2006 (an election year)".

Fox News has taken such a left turn, that most often, I have to completely turn the TV off, and I've done it more since August of 2005 than I have in my life. Witness the guest coming up on F & F......Dan Rather. Is this a joke?

You got a big problem, Roger Ailes. Do you intent to fix it?

Hitchens wrote this yesterday

http://www.opinionjournal.com/editorial/feature.html?id=110009197

He's a supporter of the War on Terror but refuses to concede that he's wrong in defending Kerry on his 1971 an 1972 slander of our troops. I enjoy reading and listening to Hitchens. I disagree with Hitch on this with vigor.

Here's Hugh Hewitt, questioning Hitchens on this topic

http://www.townhall.com/TalkRadio/Show.aspx?RadioShowID=5&ContentGuid=64df79f1-e3bf-4d9a-b401-b0c91d6f4ece

Hugh was right in trying to get him to put Hitch's charges of war crimes into proportion. Hitch was closed to the view that these could be distortions and misrepresentative of the greater effort. There is no question that it was wrong to prop up French imperialism and that Robert McNamara and McGeorge Bundy were and always will be screw ups.

But it is wrong to argue that enslaving people to the state, which Hitch opposes in North Korea, is a liberation in Viet Nam. Why then did the VC general recant after we left? Why did he say that all he wanted was what we had in the US and this is what he was promised?

It is vexing that Hitch is unwilling to concede the difference between the story that Hitch relates and the Jenjis Khan remark. The other point is that as a young man, sympathetic to Communism, in a war zone, Hitch imagines that he would have access to unflattering information about the VC.

Finally, here are two masterful responses

Hugh's response

http://hughhewitt.townhall.com/g/c7e3821e-3a5a-4c81-95e3-e9762ff5b5b8

And Austin Bay's response

Think anyone at Fox will have the stones to ask McCaskill about the ACORN voter fraud indictments?

Sounds as if they are getting ready to bash McCain in case he does run for President. We all knew it would come but maybe not so early.
