Did Liberals lie about weapons of mass destruction?

As the war in Iraq becomes increasingly unpopular with Americans, Democrats in collusion with the liberal mainstream media, continue to politicize the war by blatantly distorting the facts.

For example, a popular refrain is that President Bush lied about Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) in order to implement a grand strategy fashioned by neo-conservatives well before Bush actually took office. Said strategy was supposedly aimed at using military force to install democratic regimes friendly to the U.S. throughout the Middle East.

The real outrage is that the MSM has allowed the Democrats to get away with this, just as it now allows fellow MSM member the NYT to switch positions with its recent Website/WMD story. Now, the NYT, without batting an eye or blushing, says the Bush Administration has exposed highly dangerous information about the Iraqi WMD program and failed to protect highly classified information. Of course, the paper of Herbert Matthews, their reporter who helped pave the way for Castro by lying about his commitment to communism, and the paper of Walter Duranty, the reporter who lied about Stalin's mass murder of Ukrainians, must consider their recent whoppers on WMD small potatoes.

This is a time of war, yet the Democrats have gotten a pass on the fact that they voted for that war, they sighted the same intelligence reports as the president to justify their votes, they supported the war until it became difficult, and now they seek a collective partisan advantage by feigning collective amnesia. Obviously, the MSM has been and is their willing ally in massive dodging of their own actions, demagogic attacks, and rewriting of history.

As we get ready to vote, keep in mind that these are the Democrats who seek to take the legislative branch of government.

The article is worth saving because it lists all of the statements Democrats made about Iraq prior to the war. Future historians, since present day media is nearly all indifferent, will marvel at how well the Democrats managed to slip their previous positions, dodge responsibility, re-write history, and undermine a president and his military during a war. The "loyal" opposition in our country inspires the enemy in Iraq into believing that their victory is at hand and their fight is a just one. Shame on the MSM and the Democrats.

Unfortunately most people don't spend alot of time seeking out news. Because of that, a blatantly partisan MSM which for some weird reason appears to hate the hand that has fed it, is quite capable of leading said sheep anywhere they want them.

Oh, if only this were true. We would be so much better off today. It should have happened during the 8 Clinton years, but he was too busy announcing a "peace dividend" and gutting the US military. Incidentally, what do the democrats find so repulsive about this strategy? Should we have waited until Sadam actually was producing nukes and launching them at Israel while selling them to terrorists before we interceded?
