Joe Piscopo just called me and told me to vote for Tom Kean Jr. - "Friend of Italians"

Posted on 11/05/2006 9:34:45 AM PST by dead

I guess the recorded voice of Rudy Guiliani was too tired from calling me everyday for the last week, so the recorded voice of Joe Piscopo filled in.

Joe says I should vote for Tom Kean Jr. because he's a great friend of the Italian American community. Joe bases this declaration on the fact that Tom Kean Jr. supported the Supreme Court nomination of New Jersey goomba Samuel Alito. Democrat ("My party," Joe called them) Bob Menedez not only voted against Alito, but supported a filibuster movement against him.

So fuhgeddabout him!

I'm of 100% Irish descent. I think Joe Piscopo has a steroid-enhanced lump of mutton for a brain. And I think Tom Kean is a liberal jerk. But I'm voting for him on Tuesday. Because he's "our" liberal jerk and at least he doesn't take bags of cash for official corruption just like his opponent Bob "Little Torch" Menedez.

Right he is our "liberal" jerk and we need him to win right now, but don't you wish things weren't this tight and we could get rid of all the loser RINO's? Word this morning is there is an uptick for Chafee in recent polls.

Thomas Kean is not the ideal politician, but compared to Menendez, he is AN OFFER YOU CAN'T REFUSE!!!

Yep, I got one of those calls as well. Amazing, apparently Joe (a liberal) was none too pleased at the treatment Alito received.

Honestly, I hate to see us lose Santorum and DeWine (who has been with us on everything), and keep Chafee.

However, I just want Republicans to win. The faces of the media will be priceless.

Laura Bush called me, but it was to get my neck/sleeve length for an order of shirts Dubya (ssssh, it's a secret) is surprising me with at Christmas.

She wouldn't say who they were from, but she said he had a Dubya in his name.

While we were on the phone, we updated each other's addresses and e-mails.

She's lbush@gmail.com, in case anyone needs it.

Just being,

Sure do... but it won't happen overnight and more important, that is a Primary fight. By the time the general elections come around, it's too late.

DeWine could go. A Santorum loss would be devastatingly stupid for the residents of the Mountain Laurel state to do.

From an interview with CNN when Piscopo was considering a run for Governor.

HEMMER: You're a lifelong Democrat, right? And you talk about the highest property taxes in the country in your home state. Sounds a bit conservative.

PISCOPO: I know. I know. I could tell. As I go through the different items and my agenda in my head, you know, as people talk to me, of what I stand for, I am very, very conservative, but I'm a lifelong Democrat. I believe -- a proud Democrat.

It's the working man's party, and New Jersey has its roots in working class. Immigrants came from all over the country and they settled in New Jersey. Like my grandparents, they couldn't even speak English when they first came here.

So yes, I'm a Democrat, very conservative, but highest property tax in the country, highest insurance, car insurance rates in the country, and I can't understand how a great state like the one I'm in now, Florida, Texas, Nevada, they have no state income tax. How do they do it and why can't Jersey do it?

I got a call from a nice young Republican volunteer. I told her she can count on my wife and I pulling the 'R' vote columns this Tuesday. I'll talk to real live callers, but I hang up on tape recordings.
