Curt Weldon (R-Pa) for Congress

NAVY VICE-ADMIRAL JOE SESTAK "WALKS
THE PLANK" ONE DAY AFTER NEW CNO,
ADMIRAL MIKE MULLEN, TAKES OVER
TOUGH-TALKING, NO-NONSENSE TOP BOSS
BOUNCES VERN CLARK "CRONY" - MORE
BRASS MAY BE "ON THE WAY OUT"

It took the new Chief of Naval Operations, Admiral Mike Mullen, less than 24 hours to dump one of the most disliked officers among the Navy's top brass. Vice-Admiral Joe Sestak, an arrogant and obnoxious "bully-boy," who delighted in being rude and unreasonable and getting away with it, found he was expendable the minute his mentor went out the door.

Rumsfeld "yes-man" and weaselly politician Vern Clark will not be missed by many Navy personnel. In fact, hopeful messages are flooding the office of MilitaryCorruption.com that "maybe, somehow," the Navy has finally gotten a CNO who will "put sailors first" and correct the many mistakes of his predecessor.

It was Clark, a leftover from the Clinton Administration, who promoted Sestak to his third-star and made him deputy chief of naval operations for Warfare Requirements and Programs. Those who dared to complain about Sestak's abusive "management style" were ignored or punished.

By sacking a previously untouchable top-ranking admiral, Mullen has fired a shot across the bow to others like Sestak that their days are numbered too.

All this can only improve morale. We "salute" CNO Mullen for having the courage to do the right thing. It would have been much easier to leave an out-of-control martinet like Sestak in place and not rattle any cages.

I just spent the last 2 hours on a town hall phone call with Curt Weldon, R-Pa. (Delaware County, parts of Chester, Montgomery counties - western suburbs of Philadelphia)

I wasn't aware that his Dhimmi opponent Joe Sestak, a former admiral was relieved.

I'll be spreading the word, to make sure that people know that this multi millionaire who lives in an $800,000 + house in Northern Virginia is NOT who we need representing us.

Sestak also violated rules by campaigning in his uniform. He's a real piece of work. The fact that the Clintonistas have brought big guns to bear on Weldon shows just how important he is to us. We can't afford to lose Weldon or Santorum.

I'm convinced Weldon is being targeted for exposing ABLE DANGER.
Boy, talk about an investigation that went nowhere.
This is probably my major gripe about the Bush Administration.
Berger, Gorelick, etc., etc., all walk.
And Libby gets indicted.
Just Crazy.

I wouldn't be surprised.

From an April 2006 article

Sestak got an even bigger financial boost last week from former Clinton Administration colleagues Sandy Berger, Harold Ickes and Richard Clarke, at a fundraiser at the Washington offices of the Meyer, Suozzi English & Klein law firm, described as the "political shop" of former President Clinton and New York Sen. Hillary Clinton.

Since Sestak bills himself as a native son focused on local issues, voters may wonder why former Clinton officials have such a keen interest in getting him elected in the suburban Philadelphia district.

Berger, once Clinton's National Security Adviser, pleaded guilty last April to removing classified documents from the National Archives in 2003 relating to terror threats during the 2000 millenium celebration. He cut some up with scissors, according to an April 1, 2005 Associated Press story.

Early on in the bizarre episode, Berger claimed the stolen material was an "honest mistake," but later acknowledged that he intentionally took and deliberately destroyed the documents. He was sentenced to 100 hours of community service, fined $50,000 and had his security clearance suspended.

The Meyer, Suozzi firm's Washington office is managed by Ickes, the former deputy chief of staff for President Clinton who led Sen. Clinton's 2000 campaign. In a 2004 New York Magazine article, he is called "the most important person in the Democratic Party." The law practice also has offices in Long Island and Albany, New York.

With such powerful political friends from the Clinton administration funding his run for Congress, district voters may also want to ask the candidate what he'll have to do to return the favor if he gets elected. E-mail Keith Phucas at kphucas@timesherald.com.

I'm flabbergasped that the Bush Justice Department sicced the FBI on Weldon two weeks before an election.

Yet, Jefferson was caught red handed with $90,000 in his freezer and still no indictment.

Whats wrong with this picture?

I used to run across Sestak now and then when I was at the Pentagon for my annual two week reserve tours. I thought we was a bit arrogant, but then again most flag officers who believe that they're going places are. I don't remember hearing any stories about him being abusive or anything like that. Someone who sat at the right hand of the CNO didn't have to be. As I recall he was supposed to be planning the kind of changes for the Navy that Rumsfeld is forcing through on the Army so that's guaranteed to make him enemies.

I also remember hearing that Mike Mullen and Vern Clark couldn't stand each other, so I'm sure that played a part in Sestak's downfall. Mullen was Vice CNO under Clark and lasted only about a year before getting bounced to CINCUSNAVEUR, supposedly to get him out of DC. About a year later he was back in the top spot. Last I heard Clark was teaching out at Pat Robertson's college. I had no idea Sestak was running for Congress.

I had no idea Sestak was running for Congress.

It makes perfect sense to me now.

Weldon went after Able Danger hammer and tongs.

Able Danger made fully public would have conclusively proved that Clinton administration failures led to 9/11.

Sestak is recruited by Clinton cronies to run against Weldon for congress.

**Whats wrong with this picture?**

I don't know.

Sometimes in my blacker moods, I think the top tiers of gov't - both sides - are in cahoots and laughing all the way to the bank.

I agree the Clintonista's are bank rolling one of their own, to shut up Curt Weldon, re: Able Danger. The Clinton Legacy must not be sullied.

Of course they did! Probably had help from some republican moles as well. In Washington you are either an insider or your not. If your not you're in TROUBLE!
