An Election Day Wish (Joseph Farah Looks Forward To Destruction Of Democratic Party Alert)
Worldnetdaily.com ^ | 11/07/2006 | Joseph Farah

Do you need some motivation to get you to the polls today? I do.

And here's mine.

As you know, I've been extremely disappointed by the Republicans who have been in control of Congress and the presidency since 2001.

They waited far too long to act on border security. They increased spending beyond imagination. Far too often, they talked and acted like Democrats.

I've been a strong advocate of not voting for the lesser to two evils as a means of stimulating more competition in the political marketplace.

But I'd like to present the other side of that story today, as we consider the very real prospect of a Democratic victory in the midterm elections taking place as you read this.

There is another way to foster political competition. That is to destroy the Democratic Party – or to change it fundamentally from a socialist, anti-U.S., appeasement party to one that is more in tune with mainstream American values.

Suppose the Democrats took a real beating today at the polls?

It could happen.

John Kerry made that prospect possible, in my opinion, the other day when he insulted our troops in Iraq. It was a gaffe of monumental proportions by a politician who is known for putting his foot in his mouth.

Let me remind you that John Kerry is not just a senator from Massachusetts. As the most recent nominee for the party's presidential candidate, he is also the head of the Democratic Party.

We could stay home and punish the Republicans. Or, we could go vote to really punish the Democrats – not just punish them, but destroy them as a viable party.

Let's face it – just a few days ago, Rep. Nancy Pelosi was measuring the drapes in the speaker's office. The Democrats have tasted victory already – prematurely. What would happen if we denied it?

I think it would be a political earthquake.

I think the Democrats would have to re-evaluate everything.

I think they would have to look seriously at their message, at their candidates, at their philosophy, at the way they have turned their party into a bastion of extremists.

If ever there was an opportunity to deal the Democratic Party a deathblow from which they might not be able to recover, this could be it.

Their expectations were so high.

Even a status quo vote would be shocking to the Democrats.

Oh, sure, they would no doubt play the vote-fraud card. That will happen in all likelihood even if they win by a small margin.

But I, for one, would love to see what would happen – just as a sociological and political experiment – if the Democrats got trounced today.

I know this may sound like a different message than I have given you before. The truth is – it is.

But today, as our brave troops continue the fight in Iraq and Afghanistan, I can't help but think of the disaster that awaits them, us, the Iraqi people and all freedom-loving people around the world if the Democrats take the House and Senate.

They've told us what they're going to do. They're going to cut and run, raise the white flag of surrender to the terrorists, sue for peace, appease the enemy. That's what they do. They did it in Vietnam and it took us 20 years to recover. We may never recover from another blow like that.

So that's what's going through my mind today in these final moments of the campaign. No, I'm not telling you to vote for just any old Republican, but I am suggesting strongly you vote against every single Democrat.

Was it not only about a week ago that Farah was saying it would be good if the GOP lost? That Bush on down was a total failure and they deserved to lose?

Look, I have no illusions the Republicans haven't exactly stood up for conservative values. But the Democrats are a bunch of leftist lunatics. As bad as the GOP has gotten in some respects, the Democrats still terrify me across the board. I intend to vote today, not much for the GOP as AGAINST every Democrat. And every conservative, regardless of their anger with the GOP over its lapses and policy failings, ought to do the same today as well.

The Democrats are going to be destroyed one way or another - either they lose today, or, if they win, by the two years of terrorist attacks in the US leading up to the 2008 election, when they will be voted out permanently in favor of the adults. I'd prefer the first. Gotta go vote.

I don't think of World Net Daily as a really viable source, but the piece was fun to read anyway - er, even if he does flip-flop every week.

That said, I voted last week. My first straight ticket.

Everyone - get out and vote or we'll get more of this:

In our brave new schools, Johnny can't say the pledge, but he can recite the Quran. Yup, the same court that found the phrase "under God" unconstitutional now endorses Islamic catechism in public school.

A Clinton appointed judge ruled in California's 9th Circuit Court that it's okay for kids to be forced to recite aloud Muslim prayers that begin with "In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful . . . ."

Memorizing the Muslim profession of faith: "Allah is the only true God and Muhammad is his messenger."

Chanting "Praise be to Allah" in response to teacher prompts.

Professing as "true" the Muslim belief that "The Holy Quran is God's word."

Giving up candy and TV to demonstrate Ramadan, the Muslim holy month of fasting.

Designing prayer rugs, taking an Arabic name and essentially "becoming a Muslim" for two full weeks.

Parents of seventh-graders, who after 9-11 were taught the pro-Islamic lessons as part of California's world history curriculum, sued under the First Amendment ban on religious establishment. They argued, reasonably, that the government was promoting Islam.

But a federal judge appointed by President Clinton told them in so many words to get over it, that the state was merely teaching kids about another "culture."

Ditto. I would TiVO the anguished wailings from the network talking heads and replay them when I needed a chuckle.

Any conservative who stays home to punish the Republicans for not being pure enough is beneath contempt.

Vote.

I think the Democrats would have to re-evaluate everything.

I'd love to see them have to "eat crow." But do I, for one minute, think that they will re-evaluate their positions if they lose.

Heck no! They didn't after 2002, they didn't after the Kerry loss. They'll just blame Diebold, or Rove, or rain, or....you can fill in the blank.

Yeah destroy the Democrats first, then work on changing the GOP.

Joe,
The abrupt tactical move you suggested may be too late to be effective. In addition, IMO the Dummies won't change after a beating, they'll just lie more effectively.

I was talking about Farah, not the GOP.

I voted and I strongly recommend everyone on the right vote.

My point was Farah is schizophrenic. One week it is one extreme, then next it is the other. So I pay no attention to his rants anymore.

I disagree. Remember, the Drive Bys and MSM have set the bar very high for the Democrats. A Republican massacre. If the Democrats lose by even ONE vote, its a devastating defeat for them - one from which they may never recover.

From Accuweather national forecast....

Tuesday morning, voters across the Southeast will have to deal with some rain and thunderstorms as a storm moves into the region. This same storm will spread rain into the Northeast Tuesday evening, so voters in that region will need to bring an umbrella, if they decide to vote late in the day. Voters should not encounter any weather-related problems from the central Plains into the Southwest. Wet weather will persist across parts of the Northwest through the evening.

The Rove Weather Machine (RWM) is running at 100%. ;-)

You're right - the moonbats are so out of it they think the reason the American people haven't bought socialism yet is because the Democrats didn't sell it well enough. And they'll advance the victory of Bernie Sanders in Vermont today as evidence it can be done.

Madison would approve, see #5.

--------

Parties

James Madison

National Gazette, January 23, 1792

In every political society, parties are unavoidable. A difference of interests, real or supposed, is the most natural and fruitful source of them. The great object should be to combat the evil: 1. By establishing a political equality among all. 2. By withholding unnecessary opportunities from a few, to increase the inequality of property, by an immoderate, and especially an unmerited, accumulation of riches. 3. By the silent operation of laws, which, without violating the rights of property, reduce extreme wealth towards a state of mediocrity, and raise extreme indigence towards a state of comfort. 4. By abstaining from measures which operate differently on different interests, and particularly such as favor one interest at the expence of another. 5. By making one party a check on the other, so far as the existence of parties cannot be prevented, nor their views accommodated. If this is not the language of reason, it is that of republicanism.

Mr. Farah is late, but the message is a good one. Let's get out and vote and make the socialist, terrorist-coddling Demos suffer!
