#33 Would disenfranchise me! That combined with liberals on the GOP ticket is quite a lot to handle in one day.

On a more positive note, I would like to be the first to wish John Garamendi 'Bon Voyage' and a fond farewell as he moves on to new endeavors. May he find his new destination so pleasant that he never returns to California. Perhaps another admirer of the Father of the Peace Corps might follow in the near future? (Wishful thinking!)

Hubby and I voted earlier than normal today. We usually don't vote until after 6pm when he arrives home from work but today he was able to leave earlier so we voted around 4pm. We didn't expect there to be many people voting at that time but we were wrong. By the time we were finished voting there was a line of at least 20 people waiting to get inside to vote.

We are in Santee, suburb of SD. Our voting place is in the garage of a residence. Once we were inside the garage and checked in, we then had to wait for one of the 3 voting machines to become available. In the meantime, the poll workers were asking the people in line if anyone would like to use a paper ballot. Many chose that option and were outside of the garage, sitting on the lawn, retaining walls, etc. marking their ballots.

One of the poll workers told us that they had tried to get more voting machines but were told that no more were available. He also said that this was the largest turnout so far that they had ever had at this particular voting place. I can't wait for the results to come in!

Oh! And when we arrived back home, Arnold had called and left a message : )

Voted a week ago-absentee-voted straight "R" and voted against almost any damn thing that will raise taxes or "sell" more bonds!

California is a poster child for what happens when liberals control the legislature...

California was better off when the legislature was a part time job...In fact I would vote to have it return to a "part time" status.
