"D" Stands for "Defeat"

The War on Terrorism is a strange war that has been moved forward, directly and immediately, not by breakthroughs on faraway battlefields, but by the results of our own elections here at home.

[...]

The Democrats are consistently campaigning on policies that would lead to a disastrous defeat, not just in Iraq, but in the entire War on Terrorism, from Lebanon to Afghanistan.

That's true whether or not the Democratic candidate in your own particular district advocates withdrawal from Iraq. With control of both houses of Congress at stake, a vote for any Democratic candidate is a vote for a Democratic leadership in Congress, with the power to set the legislative agenda, hold hearings, issue subpoenas, and, crucially, control the Pentagon's purse strings.

This last is particularly crucial. If the Democrats gain control of the House, for example, the new head of the Defense Appropriations Subcommittee will be Jack Murtha. The man who writes the Pentagon's budget will be an advocate of immediate withdrawal of US troops from Iraq. The House Ways and Means Committee, which has the most power over the federal budget, would be chaired by Harlem Democrat Charlie Rangel--who has already warned, "You've got to be able to pay for the war, don't you?"

Preachin' to the choir. I can not understand for the life of me how people in this country can't see the danger of pulling out of Iraq. This whole election has kept me up most nights for the past 2 weeks. My biggest concern is in the voter fraud, re-counts, extended poll times. It is all so dis-honest and evil on the part of the dems. Makes me want to puke.

If the Democrats win today, the will to fight the war on terror will be seen to have collapsed.

Let's put it this way - if you were Osama, and you saw that Americans had decided to put Nancy Pelosi in a position of responsibility, what conclusion would you draw?

Regards, Ivan

I share your concerns. The thing that angers me the most is the audacity of the Democrats to accuse Republicans of fraud, dirty tricks, and "the politics of personal destruction". Republicans aren't exactly pure, but evidence and history show the Democrats as masters of the dirty game.

Most can't see past the first move. Others just do not care about anything except power.

De-feet is connnected to de legs, which are gonna do the runnin' after the DemonRats do the cuttin'. Which is all the more reason to put aside any differences with the Republican leadership and prevent this from happening.

**I can not understand for the life of me how people in this country can't see the danger of pulling out of Iraq**

Why? Insanity is ubiquitous, my friend! These liberals are creatures of pure delusion. They cannot comprehend the degree of mayhem stirring abroad, for Uncle Sam is the only trouble they know. They are like spoiled teenagers who cannot comprehend greater oppression than not being permitted to go to the movies on Thursday night.

With these pitiful beings sprouting up all over the place, it is enough to extinguish any hope I once had for a peaceful world. If there is even a remote possibility of people ever returning to their senses for a moment sufficient to spare us from extinction, it won't happen until the children of humanity have begun to perish by the billions. This is the beginning of an age of darkness the likes of which the world will have never seen before. Although civilization will likely not explode all at once into chaos as it did in the past two world wars, it will likely rot into chaos. It will probably become like a festering fruit abandoned in the muck and rain, once plentiful, ripe, and full of life, now unpalatable. .

Should this come to pass, as it likely will, it will be the task of any remaining sane creatures to pull the seeds from the rotting fruit, plant them in a foundation of fertile soil, and begin the nurturing of the new world from the refuse of the old.

I have already gotten sick. The very thought of Americans electing a socialist congress that will once again cut and run and piss on my military, AGAIN, will result in 3,000 deaths on 9-1-1 and nearly 3,000 killed in the war, worthless and wasted. The Islamic murderers of the religion of peace will be so pumped up, that you will see celebrations in the streets in the middle east. They will KNOW they have won the war on terror. The commie dims will cut and run, cut funding for the war effort and we are finished. No one will trust us again. WE will never be able to get another country to back us again in any action. They will say why, our people will just die for nothing as you cut and run again. I am ashamed of America. It has become a socialist nanny state as whiners vote for the easy life. They do not know what electing these thugs of the Kennedy/Kerry/Klinton klan will mean. IT will mean the end of the Republic as we know it. We will become the Soviet Socialist States of Amerika. I cannot believe my fellow Americans are this weak. But, I guess they are.
