Once, recently, on funding of stem-cell research. Only time in 6 years.

The Rat is going to win Delay's seat but it will return to the "R" column in 2008.

IOW - We don't have time for blubbering! Not even for a day.

Alright, I'm ok, we'll keep moving, we did what we could.
Thanks for helping me back up!

If I choose to be burned up with rage over the stealing of this election by the MSM, that is my choice.
I invested alot into this election cycle.
Many hours spent door to door, many dollars donated to the party.
I have a right to be in a rage right now.

"Expect to see a budget showdown about it. The power of the purse is a biggy. Might have to swollow chunks of socialist gunk in domestic spending to keep funding of the war alive."

When do the tax cuts expire?

Yeah, well, I'll just wait until all the actual votes are COUNTED to see who actually won.

I really thought Americans were smarter than this...boy I was delusional. Well, who knows maybe some of those yellow dog Democrats will switch parties to keep Nancy out of the chair.

Some of you seem to want to blame this on everyone except the proper ones, the voters did this.

Work HARDER?

Pretty hard to keep up enthusiasm with the way our "republican majority" squandered the opportunity we gave them!

Crap legislation was "fast-tracked", meaningful reforms rarely escaped from committee.

Now watch what happens in the pending "lame duck session", which would never have been allowed to happen if our "republican majority" had any sense.

Se Habla NO FENCE, OPEN BORDERS, NO SECURITY, UNION THUGS ascending to new heights of power, ad nauseam?

RINO's do us no favors, they are half-way to the D's from the start.

"Unless we lose the senate as well, Bush will not use his veto pen often."

Yeah, when you consider that the Senate GOP is a bunch of weenie liberals masquerading as conservatives, and you add in the fact that W ain't very conservative either, I agree, he won't use his veto pen very much.

I predict that the Dems will have a field day.

Well we'll see if they get them. The screeching left would have a fit. But there's always a price to be paid.

"Do the Dems now have the power to bring our troops home? That is my biggest fear!"

I believe the Dems will conduct themselves MUCH less radically than people fear. They screamed from the rooftops to get elected, but they will govern a bit more to the right, at least as concerns the WOT.

If we hold the Senate (and it's going to be TIGHT, Allen's in the fight of his life right now) then we can mitigate this damage.

The important lesson for the Republicans to take away from this is very simple. FIGHT. Don't try to be "less liberal." Run conservatives. Stick to your beliefs. Don't let the Democrats define the issues. Push back, and push hard, against the lies of the media. Fight.

Some of you seem to want to blame this on everyone except the proper ones, the voters did this.

The Republicans don't have a God-given right to govern. They have to earn people's votes - and, frankly, they haven't.

What VETO PEN?

The one that weighs a thousand pounds, so he has only been able to lift it once?

Now they have to govern. It's going to be interesting to watch...

Personally I'd rather watch sausage being made. But having them in power will give America another chance to see why they were thrown out of office in 1994.

This should increase the chances for a Republican presidential victory in 2008. Next to these clowns even Bozo looks presidential.
