Resolved: We need conservative presence in traditional media. The internet isn't enough.

The main-stream media, the old media, the liberal media, whatever you want to call them, have shown that they can still screw this country up when they really want to.

It is a tremendous amount of work without financing or writers

As for writers You can't swing a dead cat around here without hitting several competent writers. Fedora's work alone is enough to establish respectability in any publication.

Start the paper, publish a few copies, and then set up reporters in every major city. Handle their credentials. And then you can actually go to press conferences and ask those questions the drive by media will never ask.

Going with the premise above the financial load would be spread out across the country. Distribution could possibly be handled by the same people or others that want to participate.

The left has been training up people under the "citizen journalism" movement. I plan to start to attend some of these lefty meetings and learn all I can.

.....and then set up reporters in every major city.

What we will need are good old fashioned investigative reporters. There has got to be tons of ripe, festering garbage under all those nasty liberal stones (evil trees give evil fruit). Our reporters had better watch their backs because who knows what the liberals might do to someone finding them out.

How about we just have a media that delivers the facts and really does let us decide.......without the likes of Eleanor Clift and Ellen Ratner giving us their spin. Without Susan Estrich, and assorted other left wing hacks spewing their opinions.

Be nice to have the news straight......what an unthinkable concept!

We used to have the Washington Times but they have gone over to appeasement mode with Blankley at the head.

If we all took what we donate to Republican causes, we might be surprised at how much is given to RNC, NRCC, NRSC, and State/Local parties.

Maybe we should form a PAC?

I would bet we are better writers then the liberal citizen journalism movement.

I think it is an outstanding idea and you count me in for whatever you need.

The Washington comPost sunk Allen and got the pervert elected.

As in NJ where a cabal of homosexuals ran the state guvernment for years, the US senate will now be home to a cabal of perverts.

We subscribed to the NY Sun at first. A few good reporters and invetigative reports and the rest of the paper had AP bylines. Blech.

If it was disgust at Foley why did VA elect the pervert Webb?

I am stuck out here in the People's Republic of Washington State where we have rain that never ends for days and days...so being in the Upper Left :( of the country, I didn't pay much attention to Jim Webb.

When you say he is a pervert, what do you mean? Does he have skeletons in the closet?

what we need, is our own George Soros. A conservative "money man" who will invest in information outlets.

Absolutely right. I have always thought that one way we can make headway is to get some wealthy conservative types (I keep hearing about how there are supposedly all these "rich Republicans" out there) to take over some of these media corporations. I mean, they are businesses, right? Surely there are some smart, well-heeled conservative business moguls who could "invest" in some of these network corporations, do some housecleaning, and at least make them a little fairer and more balanced.

If you can figure out how to research on FR you will exactly what it is that Webb wrote in a book. Sickening perversion.

I don't know why we don't see such a foce emerge. forget the "takeover", with cable TV today, the internet, and other media forms - there are plenty of other ways to get a message out, without taking over a network.
