Let's look at the open counties, per the CNN tally:
Cascade (61% in) - Tester leading 52-46; Burns lost this in 2000 52-46
Gallatin (22% in) - Burns leading 50-48; Burns won this in 2000 53-56
Glacier (50% in) - Burns leading 53-45; Burns LOST this in 2000 64-34
Lake (91% in) - Tester leading 49-47; Burns won this in 2000 49-89
Lewis & Clark (98% in) - Tester leading 55-43; Burns lost this in 2000 53-45
Lincoln (71% in); Burns leading 56-40; Burns won this in 2000 64-33
Meagher (0% in) - Burns won this in 2000 67-29 - but the county has fewer than 1000 votes
Yellowstone (0% in) - Burns won this in 2000 51-47

I don't see Burns pulling this out. He's running behind in places where he should be winning. For example, he lost Mineral county this time; he WON Mineral County 55-40 in 2000.

We all went to a cabin in the mountains once before the 2000 vote and when my yuppie bro and SIL got up to go out to their morning jog wearing their Gore Lieberman sweatshirts, a cowboy drawled "Folks could get shot for wearing that around here." LOL!

LOL!!! She voted for Gore in FL and in NY and bragged about it to me and I went ballistic. Turned her into the FL Sec of State and sure enough she voted absentee in both places. I think she figured I turned her in and she was right!

My hip-pocket tallying and projecting included all counties, but that's just about $0.02 worth.

I missed that one. Burns won Fergus 64-34 in 2000. He's up 61-36 now. Not a large change - but enough to sway the election. He barely squeaked by the last time.

Nice chart, but no cigar. Let Yellowstone report. If the swing in Yellowstone is like the state for Burns he loses, but it won't take much to flip the result.

Whoa. I bet a lot of people do that. Sick. Glad you turned her in.

Interesting factoid about a House race here that garnered national attention. The Sanchez-Nguyen race. Nguyen lost big as one would imagine especially after his Spanish letter to Hispanic voters in the district "scaring them" that illegals are not allowed to vote. However, the radio guy just said that the #s of votes are so infinitesimal (too tired to look it up for ya but it's in Orange County, CA) in that race that it demonstrates LOUD and CLEAR how MANY illegals live there. Because the districts are done on POPULATION, not on citizens. Interesting.

I have always thought the census for redistricting should be on citizens not population. There is a chart somewhere that CA has five too many Congressmen if it was done on citizens and OK would get one of its Congressman back! Sad commentary on illegals affecting our elections.

Exactly. It's killing our way of life. Believe me, it's reaching over to all the other states soon enough. Colorado and Georgia know what I mean.

Yellowstone is a Republican county, Bush carried in '04. Earlier tonight it was 18,000 to 16,800 -- Burns trailing. About a hour ago the MT Sec of State site wiped out all the votes -- it now says 0 of 69 reporting. It is now reporting Yellowstone is recounting the ballots.

The other county is flathead has only 30 of 42 reporting burns is carrying 10,000 to 6,800.

Yes! I can't take it much longer! Give us Yellowstone's votes and either give us hope or let us die!

I think it is ridiculous that we have to put up with so many illegals that are now affecting our voting.

like the borders, like Supreme Court nominations. If they dance to the leftists' tune, the Republicans have an issue to use in the next election

Bush is on the same side as the Dems with regard to immigration, so borders are not an issue the Dems have to dance to, Bush and the Dems are dancing together on the same amnesty floor.
