Excuse me :) We did elect our Republican lesser of evils here in Tennessee. He wouldn't have been the sole winner in a contested race.

Yeah, and spent almost nothing on John Spencer, who was running against Hillary .

He seemed to have a real chance of defeating her in the last couple of months .

Yep. It is a lie that Bush has not tried to work with the Dems.

Typical liberal. As soon as the grass is greener on the other side of the fence, he splits.

Much ado about nothing. The election's over. He lost. He'd better find something else to do with his life.

Maybe all Republicans should all switch to Democrat and watch the Dems try to figure out how to deal with Bush and Cheney as the top political leaders of the Democratic Party. Donkey heads imploding everywhere... ;-)

I hope to God somebody learned a lesson from that, as well as learning something from the Rick Santorum exercise. Somebody who will be around for the next exercise in political decision-making.

The idea of him being king-maker in the U.S. Senate if he had won is just too much to contemplate.
What is it with lily-livered RINOs from the Northeast?

Smells like a fix was in. What I mean is if it were a tied Senate, Chaffee would have became an Independent & Caucus with Dems. One positive note, I was listening to Tony Snow on the Hugh Hewitt radio program. He said that even though the republicans lost the house it could have been much worse. The Republicans won about 24 races by fewer than 5,000 votes. As for the Senate, take away one of independents & its tied. Lieberman has a bone to pick with the Judases in his party & Bush did help him. So he may not be a rubber stamp for the Dems. Also, I believe that the Dem from Montana is not a bleeding liberal so he might be a swing vote on some issues.

I assume the only candidates with (R) beside their name who can win in the NE are lily-livered RINOs. It's political natural selection.
