Give the devil his due. Chuck Schumer chose Senate candidates who refused to embrace liberal ideals in their deceitful campaigns, and so-called "conservatives" in the media carried Senator Schumer's water for him.

The DNC outwitted the RNC this time, and will come back with the same tactic again in 2008.

Will we get fooled again ?

Charles Stenholm was a blue dog democrat and at home he would tout his conservative beliefs as in keeping with the people around here. Everyone loved Charlie. But he was beholden to the liberal leadership and when they needed his vote, they got it. When they didn't need his vote, he could look conservative. He kept up appearances and seemed to be doing good and maybe he did stick to principle but there were crucial votes where he stuck with his dem bosses. Re-districting weeded him out.

These new "conservative" dems may be just as hard to beat. It is a game of one upsmanship and the dems are very good. We need leaders that are upright and shrewd as snakes. Maybe our leaders got all puffed up and soft. Especially when the media is so biased. Reagan ruled with democrats in control. Did we learn anything? We'll see.

It will be a "Pyrhhic Victory" for the libs. They have planted the seeds for their own demise in the Rat Party if they try to over reach, and they will. They have been salivating about this moment for the past 8 years, they are too giddy, and drunk with anticipation of pushing their agenda.
