The Democrats won nothing. The MSM won, they had no choice but to give it all they had.

Yep. Target media bias. That should be our #1 target no matter what.
Without the MSM, the democrats had nothing.

Cheer up...things could be worse."

So, I cheered up and, sure enough, things got worse.

My guess is that the next two years will see a wave of new legislation, much of which my conservative view won't like (e.g., raising the minimum wage actually hurts the very people it's supposed to help). I'm just wondering if Bush is going to have the ba||$ to veto any of it.

"Had Bush bombed Falujah (sp), this clarity/decisiveness would have propelled Republicans to victory..."

Agreed...we had so much overwhelming momentum in Iraq when we rolled into Baghdad...then lost a lot of it when we put on the kid-gloves to deal with the mop-up. I'm hoping, with my fingers crossed, that when Sadaam swings the Iraqis will be at least a little emboldened to start stepping up to the plate for themselves.

From all I've heard/read, we've been just about as vigorous in enforcing the Iranian and Syrian borders as we've been in minding our own, and both in theater and domestically, those d@mn borders have been a big problem as well...

If that isn't a lesson from 1984, I don't know what is.

It's great to be optimistic, but the sad truth is that we lost. It took us 40 years to gain the House and the Dems 12 years to regain it. We are laboring under a major misconception if we believe that we can just flip a switch and take it back again. The Dems now have the power of incumbency and the ability to set the agenda. And unlike us, they will have a fawning and supportive MSM lauding everything they do. Things are going to get worse before they get better.

The American people have spoken. He's going to give them what they voted for. This is a representative government.
The voters will learn the hard way. Until they understand media bias, they'll continue to be self defeating, and it'll be their own fault for not paying attention.

[ Ann Coulter summed it up best for me when she commented that finally all the Diebold machines worked correctly for the first time! Isn't that amazing? ]

Unless they Didn't... and this rout is window dressing for massive democrat voter fraud..

The RNC seems to care less that 10 to 30 million legal and illegal aliens could have and probably did VOTE...

The RNC thru Mehlman is quite Queer..

media bias..the fact that the media always fawns and supports the democrat candidate is not new. The GOP lost because of their own doing, not because CNN doesn't like them

Target media bias.

Good plan. The AP (Jesse Holland) labelled "born babies" as "fetuses", in an article on the Born Alive Infants Protection Act. In the same article Holland lied when he wrote that the "Born Alive Act" was written to restrict Partial Birth Abortions.

They truly are biased.

Unless we work like hell to expose media bias.

The dinosaur media is already sick. Their ratings have plummeted. We need to kill it once and for all and the only way to do that is to expose it. Once voters start hearing what we're saying and start to notice it for themselves, things will change. The serpents head will be crushed.

Unless we work like hell to expose media bias.

We could use a TV channel that really leans to the right as much as the other channels lean to the left. FoxNews, gives the lib liars abundant opportunity to speak unchallenged. Although Fox may be "fair and balanced" they can't balance the MSM

No one ever mentions Mitch McConnell, who stood up against McCain-Feingold. Is there something bad about him that I don't know.

"Also, party distinctions have all but disappeared."

Although many of us voted straight GOP your quote above is where this election was lost. Other than a lot of bickering and a few major differences (abortion) both party's govern similarly. Term limits are the only answer to return to a citizen government. Also a ban on becoming a lobbyist after your done. Also no family members can be a lobbyist's as its like your the lotto number guy and your family is holding all the tickets.

Great post.

As the week and gone along, I am coming to belive more of what you are saying. We lost and we lost big. But it looks to me like country is moving more to the middle. It is time for us all to start to focus more on the good in our country than the bad. I think the hate needs to be lost! MSM was not our friend and that has been proven over the last 6 years. However, I have a strong faith in our President and I am behind him 100%. We have a divided house, but we have to reach out. I think this is more of a larger plan.... I read God's word and know He hold our future.
