The media really oughta slack up a bit. Going this nuclear on the war, just to get people to give the Dems some slack on their promises might just convince people to hire the adults back. AFter all, this news tends to make one think there really IS a war over there to win. Going to hire a bunch of peaceniks to win it? I'd rather hire the first 600 names in a NASCAR betting pool than the Democratic leadership.

They seem giddy. We should let them indulge themselves.

(And that's a great image, btw)

"The media really oughta slack up a bit."

That's exactly what I expect to happen. Democrats pretended they were concerned for the safety of U.S. servicemen in Iraq and used U.S. casualties as an excuse to attack the GOP's conduct of the war. Their ploy was successful and they were elected, but now they can, and will, end the charade. The Democrats will now turn their attention elsewhere and we will hear very little from the MSM about U.S. casualties or how badly things are going in Iraq.

From now until the election of 2008, look for a never ending MSM diatribe about who is to blame for getting the U.S. into the Iraq war, with subpoena after subpoena and investigation after investigation of alleged GOP wrongdoers.
