Al Qaeda gloats over U.S. election (delivers Democrat response to Bush presser)

BAGHDAD -- The head of al Qaeda's Iraq operations yesterday gloated in a new audio tape over the resignation of Defense Secretary Donald H. Rumsfeld and praised U.S. voters for punishing President Bush and the Republicans in Tuesday's midterm elections.

Abu Hamza al-Muhajir, in the first public statement by a senior al Qaeda figure since the vote, said in an Internet-posted recording that his group now had 22,000 armed fighters and reserves in Iraq and taunted Mr. Bush not to copy Mr. Rumsfeld and "flee the battlefield."

Al-Muhajir, also known as Abu Ayyub al-Masri, urged the United States to stay in Iraq so his group would have more opportunities to kill American troops.

"We haven't had enough of your blood yet," he boasted. "We call on the lame duck not to hurry his escape the way the defense secretary did.

"We will not rest from our jihad until ... we have blown up the filthiest house -- which is called the White House," al-Muhajir said.

The Egyptian-born al-Muhajir became al Qaeda's point man in Iraq after Abu Musab al-Zarqawi was killed in a U.S. air strike in June. The 20-minute recording could not be independently verified and White House spokesman Tony Snow declined to comment on its contents.

Over here in Al Anbar we heard about this message last night. This morning we thanked AAM for his invitation by killing two more of his followers in Al Qaim. Usually they bravely hide behind women and children but today they believed their own BS. A few fight and die but most hide or run away. One way or the other none of them ever fights very long.

Well, we are at opposite poles as to President Bush's feelings toward Muslims. If it was just to keep them close, he has to feel very comfy having 80,000 brought over in one fell swoop. Now I'm wondering how we ever defeated our WWII adversaries without a similar strategy.

30,000 American troops died from 1950-52, under Truman, to save Korea.

3,000 American troops died from 2003-06, under Bush, to save Iraq.

10X as many troops died per year under Truman.

I guess Democrats aren't too good at math.

I support the Troops, the Iraqi people who voted for a hope and a future. I am damn proud of them all.

I am ashamed of the media and the Demorats. We lost 2,700 intrepid Troops in 4 years. We lost almost half a million in four years of WWII. 2,700 Marines and Sailors lost their life in the first 2 and a half days of fighting on Iwo Jima. I went to Gettysburg this summer. I stood on ground that soaked the blood of 2,500 NY Calvary in one day. They told us we would lose 10,00 going to Baghdad.

I think our brave young men and women have done a great job for being in the heart of a land that hates us and burns our flag. I am proud of them. The media has twisted it terribly. The Germans were blowing things up several years after Berlin fell. Yes, the Iraqi people need to step up and things are not there yet. But it is not as bad as the Commies media make it out to be. They should know that Terrorism is evil. The media should know that we will defeat it with their help or without it. Because evil will defeated by the help of good people all over.

This is a test for Islam. This is a test for every Muslim. Either they are more afraid of their Mulas/leaders and they say nothing, or they all hate our guts. I tend to think they are afraid to stand up to terrorist. The media should be helping these people. Instead, they media play terrorist propaganda. Encouraging our enemy and demoralizing those who would stand against evil.

I think our media and the Demorats owe our Troops an apology. Our Troops have done and are doing an outstanding job. I would like to remind Demorats and our media of the words of a great Democrat:

Remember the plot that was recently discoverd in the UK, where the terrorists were planning to hijack ten planes headed to the US, and blow them up over US cities (initially thought they wanted to blow them up over the ocean, later fond out they wanted to do it over US cities for max damage)?

The newscycle on the original discovery was a few days, the latter one was hardly even mentioned.

The MSM was burying it, while trumpeted the "Republican corruption scandals" for weeks and months on end.
