Whenever any liberal says that they are concerned about spending and deficits, we should laugh in their face and call them liars.

That's because they are ignorant of the consequences of raising the minimum wage. Who works for minimum wage these days anyway? Probably the lowest paying jobs are in the fast food industry, and almost every fast food joint in this area has help wanted signs out front offering at least $7.50 an hour. Our local Pizza Hut even advertises for applicants on it's place mats. Supply and demand works the same way in the job market as it does in the goods and services market.

Divide and conquer, Mr. President - force the so-called "conservative" Democrats to choose between party loyalty and the principles that won them election.good/great/smart Idea.
...Too bad, Many Conservatives paid "lip service" to the principles that got them to Washington D.C.
They got there, forgot/disregarded their promises.
the GOP spent $$$$ like the 'Rats, John Q. Citizen couldn't tell the difference. :(
the 'Rats never made "any bones" about their principles (they never had any, to begin with....except, they wanted to get back into power, regardless the cost.

I did not say I hated Bush. I said I was angry with him.
here are just a few reasons
#1 Sandy Berger (no investigation no consequence)
#2 Bush rehabilitated Bill Clinton when he put him with Bush Sr. in a highly respected position.
#3 Dan Rather & the Forged Documents (again no consequence for this outrage)
#4 The New York Times leaking classified info that helped our enemies.
#5 The near disaster with Harriet Meir's on the USSC #6 Throwing Rummy over-bored one day after our "Thumping" I am not a fool, I know Bush is a far superior person than John Kerry. However, he did allow the MSM & the Democrats to set the tone & define the GOP (unjustly) and the sad reality is that it worked. You saw the election results, did you not? Finally, I do not consider Bush a leader for the Conservative Movement, I consider him a decent man, but not necessarily a leader. If that makes me a Troll, so be it.

Thank You for that list of great accomplishments, they are something to be proud of.
Perhaps you could explain to me why American voters are not aware of these things? And perhaps you can explain to me how the GOP message got lost?
Why is it that only Political Junkies & Talk Radio listeners seem to know the reality and how things were allowed to spin out of control? How did the media manage to do so much damage with so little? Will it get worse? Will any Conservative leader emerge from the rubble of Nov 7th?I sure hope John McCain isn't the best we will be able to do. I'd appreciate some input. The election results have me very concerned about American voters perception of our beloved Republican party.

I am pretty sure that he will go with raising the minimum wage and immigration after that the dems can forget it.

#1 - #3, your preference, not reasons for anger.
#4 -Why should the treason of the NY Times make you angry at Bush? Nonsense.
#5 - Anyone still angry over Harriet Mier, with the nomination of Sam Aliton needs therapy
#6 - Bush did NOT throw Rummy 'over-bored' (sic). Rumsfeld offered his resignation several times and the President finally accepted it. Get your facts straight.
Overall, your anger is unjustified, and your claims to believe that Bush is a 'decent man' questionable.
As for this "Conservative Movement" stuff........I look for actions, not words, and I see that President Bush has moved the entire country to the right through his strong moral, pro-life, pro-marriage stand, and most significantly through his judicial nominees domestically, and his strong pro-American stand internationally. In the end, Bush will have done more for the conservative movement than Reagan. (And the conservative 'purists' were just as mad at Reagan in 1986 as they are at Bush in 2006).
Whether you are a troll or an irrational extremist doesn't matter much. You say the same things anyway, and IMO, in either case, you can't be trusted.

Bush is moving forward with his amnesty for 12 million, He held a press conference yesterday & called Bill Clinton his "Fourth Brother" He is going along with the Democrats plan to cut funding for the 700 mile Fence.
The treason for the NYT makes me angry because they got away with it.
It is obvious this conversation isn't going anywhere. You have your opinion I have mine.
However, if you read the archives of post I have written on FR, I was a stanch advocate for Bush & I was very against people on here who said they hoped Democrats win to teach RINOS a lesson. May I ask you a question? How did the GOP lose? What caused our "thumping" (to quote Bush) any thoughts on that?

Thats what so many people don't seem to understand.
The Democrat plan (with the help from Bush) is not to covet the conservative voters, the plan is to simply replace us with Hispanics.
Did you hear the 700 mile Fence is DOA now? (sigh)

The reason the fence is DOA is because of the anti-Bush forces on both sides of the aisle who agitated and groused and bashed and caused us the loss of the House.
Bush signed the bill. Immigration bots scoffed at him and his signing of it, and we lost the House, so lost the legislation.
Thanks a bunch.
You can hate the President and blame him all you want, but at least take responsibility for what YOU did to lose the fence.

to simply replace us with Hispanics.Wow. That's quite a statement.
To: pollyannaish; Nav_Mom
A completely irrational statement as the result of irrational anger......
Facts don't mean a thing, polly. Just angry, hate-filled rhetoric.
Unfortunately, it has its consequences...........and one of them is losing the fence that we all wanted.....

I have never understood this kind of thrashing anger. It seems very counterproductive.
But...it is what it is.
To: pollyannaish
It IS counterproductive. And it's false.
The only things that are accomplished by it are negatives.
That's why I think most of them are trolls. Call me a skeptic, but I expect conservatives to be rational.....and this kind of stuff is the antithesis of that.

I agree. There is no doubt that what we are seeing here does not represent the majority of folks on the right.
There is too much hysteria. Trolls may be right. I don't know. I will say that in the past few weeks I have been stunned at what I've been reading. In fact, I just read a tacit endorsement for Barack Obama...so there you go.
