Mexico Passes Resolution on Deportation

MEXICO CITY -- Mexico's Congress was swayed Tuesday by a 7-year-old boy on a mission to save his mom.

Second-grader Saul Arellano, a U.S. citizen, appeared in Mexico's 500-member Chamber of Deputies to plead for help in lobbying Washington to stop the deportation of his mother, an illegal immigrant who has taken refuge in a Chicago church. His efforts paid off with a resolution calling on the Bush administration to suspend the deportation of Elvira Arellano and any other illegal immigrant parents of U.S. citizens.

If the U.S. agrees, it would "create a precedent that will benefit more than 4.9 million children who have been born in the United States and whose parents live under the threat of deportation," said Mexican congressman Jose Jacques, who lived in the United States for 33 years and has an American daughter and granddaughter.

Flashing cameras and swarms of reporters surrounded the boy as he entered the chamber. But instead of stepping to the podium, he was swept into a side room, where he hid his face and ducked under a table.

"I think being so small he was kind of freaked," family friend Jesus Carlin said.

Saul then took the microphone and spoke to reporters in Spanish, describing what he wanted from Mexico's lawmakers: "I want them to tell President Bush to end the deportations so that my mother and other families can stay together in the United States."

Better yet, the Church that is aiding and abetting this illegal alien should be court-ordered to support her

Hey, they hope the notoriety will bring up the tithe till. Damn the law to hell.

Will wonders never cease? Mexico asks us to pardon a law breaker and give her the right to stay in America because one of Mexico's citizens broke America's Laws.

These criminal invaders and the Mexican government have no shame and Mexico wants our 'elected' who swear to 'uphold the law' in their oaths to American citizen to disregard that oath to America's citizens, and allow the criminal invasion to continue. I may as well not have a country if this woman remains and our elected approve of her remaining. 'Uphold the Law' - Throw her out.

"But....perhaps the Bush/Kennedy amnesty tragedy will make the plea a moot point."

What is totally incomprehensible is that even the POTUS may decide to act against the wishes and interest of the American people.

As long as they pay the illegals bills with it, and leave the taxpayer out, fine by me.

Those that want illegals here should give up their OWN money to support them, buy their insurance, etc, those of us who don't want to support illegals, should not have to PAY for them.

I guess that settles that. Nobody can resist a plea from a young boy in distress, that's for sure. Oh, wait, there was that little Elian Gonzales forced deportation, once, wasn't there? At gunpoint, I might add.

We need badly to go back to the original concept of completely separate States. Those that want aliens, can pay for them. If you don't like the laws in a particular state, well, move where you like it better.

Same goes for gay-marriage, abortion, and on and on and on and on.

That's very Constitutional of you! I'm for it.

The power of the OBL seems to have no limits. ICE has known for months now exactly where she is at in Chicago and 'someone' in D.C. is preventing her from being deported, even while her son is in Mexico. She should be arrested, prosecuted, and prisoned for returning a second time, currently a felony, isn't it? Her son can remain in Mexico. Meantime, the county, against Federal immigration laws, looks to welcome her into a new 'sanctuary' city. Elvira has been a busy woman and is getting all the help she needs from the D.C. OBL.

COOK COUNTY CHICAGOANS...UNITE - 11/14/06 (tomorrow) SANCTUARY VOTE?
11/13/06 | KimberlyGG

Posted on 11/13/2006 11:37:23 AM EST by Kimberly GG

BACKGROUND:

(ILLEGAL) Immigrant Mother Defends Son's Future

.............."Cook County Commissioner Roberto Maldonado, inspired by Arellano’s courage, drafted a bill calling for the county, which includes Chicago, to be designated a sanctuary for immigrants. The measure would prohibit county employees from asking people about their immigration status, thereby ensuring that undocumented immigrants would have access to all county services."......

http://www.pww.org/article/articleview/10098/1/346/

OBL ACTION TAKEN:

CHICAGO (WBBM) -- A Cook County Board committee has narrowly passed a proposal to make the county a sanctuary for illegal immigrants. WBBM's Steve Miller reports. The vote was 3 to 2 in committee - on a move to make Cook County a safe space for undocumented immigrants. Even the sponsor, Commissioner Roberto Maldonado, called it symbolic, because nothing would stop federal agents from making immigration raids. "And it is symbolic to tell the people of Cook County who happen to be undocumented that, look, we recognize that we are a county of immigrants." Commissioner Tony Peraica voted against the resolution. He says the County Board has no jurisdiction. "And I believe this particular issue would create a false sense of hope in people's minds that they can, in fact, continue to stay in an illegal capacity with impunity." The resolution also forbids county employees from asking people about their immigration status.

The resolution still has to go to the full board."

ACTION:

NEXT BOARD MEETING - TOMORROW, NOV 14TH....CALL OR FAX ALL REPRESENTATIVES TODAY!

Did I miss the clause in the United States Constitution that says Mexico has final approval over our laws and their enforcement?

No, but it'll probably be a part of the comprehensive immigration reform bill coming our way!

I read here on FR a few hours ago that the children of illegal aliens are not afforded the automatic right of citizenship under the Constitution.

If so, this changes everything. Throw the brat out!

I think you'll find that in the "Bush Doctrine".

What a snivelling, corrupt commode of a country Mexico is. Does it have any redeeming qualities?

I recently did some research on that. I found one nobel prize winner, one inventor. That was about it. They've produced little for themselves or the world throughout history, well except export of their own citizens.
