Protesters storm Wal-Mart in Mexico City **Code Pink Alert**

MEXICO CITY - Demonstrators stormed a Wal-Mart on the outskirts of Mexico City on Tuesday, accusing the U.S.-based retailer of selling low-cost goods at the expense of workers, farmers and public markets.

About 250 protesters chanted "Out! Out!" in front of Wal-Mart's corporate headquarters before entering the adjacent store, where they blocked aisles for about 30 minutes before leaving. There were no immediate reports of arrests, injuries or damage.

Ruben Garcia, a Mexican citizen who works with San Francisco-based activist group Global Exchange, said the discount chain's low prices take business away from the country's traditional public markets and depress wages for workers and farmers.

There's a "rally" at Wal-Mart every day - people shopping for low low prices. But the media doesn't count this as a "protest" - it's not as sexy.

Walmart is the largest private employer in Mexico.

That's right! Add to that the number of jobs that people stand in line to get!

Let's start a rally for Walmart and invite the media!

You should because it's coming to your neighborhood. The virus is already here. There are Subcommander Marcos supporters in my office! Even Maine is having problems!

What nobody sees is Wal-Mart's supporters. That's because they're inside the store shopping, instead of protesting.

If people genuinely had a problem with Wal Mart, it wouldn't exist since nobody would shop there. For all of these socialists, who love to help the poor, why they would want WalMart closed down is beyond me. Where are their customers supposed shop, Tiffany's?
