This troubles me. I am greatly opposed to Islam. I am for this reason greatly opposed to any act that will give the Islamic community sympathy.

I'm going to wear a turban with a big ol' caricature of Mohammed on it. :)

"No one has been arrested in connection with her death. Many community members believe it was a hate crime, although police have no evidence of who did it or why."

Perhaps they should wait until more details are available before this gets branded as a hate crime?

Honor killing? Was she an informant? Was she a moderate who spoke out against radicals? All possibilities.

100 turn out in Fremont

I'll wager not one of them turned out to demonstrate 9/11, or the beheadings, or any of the barbaric outrages committed by koranimals.

Undoubtedly the local Muslim community clammed up and hindered proper investigation. Very doubtful this was a hate crime done by a non Muslim. Some local yokel Muzz done it

Turbans are worn by Sikhs. The Sikhs are on our side.

That fact that a Muslim becomes the victim of a random street crime does not necessarly mean it was a hate crime.

That being said, we must not become like our enemy lest we become the enemy.

I will never, ever forget the she-dogs whose first response to the 9/11 atrocities was to don a scarf to show their support for "women of cover" (puke). They were smugly congratulating themselves on how obviously and publicly better than everyone else they are : "See? We're wearing scarves to show our support for Our Moslem Sisters. Everyone else in this country but us is a racistxenophobicneandertal, who'll go around killing moslems by the dozens any minute now. " This is more of that same selfcongratulatory (and ultimately suicidal) mindset : Showing sympathy for people whose religion gives them the right to kill, convert, and enslave everyone who is not a coreligionist , AND utter contempt for everyone who does NOT share their own rarified views on patriotism, self defense, etc, to the point of condemning them automatically as bloodthirsty killers.

I could care less about the oppressive religion of Islam. It is the supremacist political philosophy of Islam that bothers me.

Is it Indian muslims who wear turbans or do some Hindus wear them too?

And it is disturbing that in the light of no motive it is assumed to be a hate crime. Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar. Sounds like a CAIR-like propaganda effort.

The point, she said, was just to cover her head with something unusual and show solidarity for people who dress differently.

Snort. Snicker. Chortle.

As long as I have the means to physically resist, I will never wear the garb of a Goat Shagging Sand Savage.

Besides, I would look like Joan Crawford.
