According to the spokeswoman, the school board voted 4-2 to pass the resolution. S.F.should be isolated from the rest of the country and then humiliated. It is no value other than a place to dump garbage.

O'Reilly did a pretty good number last night on one of the SF Supervisors (Sandoval) who voted to boot the Jr. ROTC from the SF high schools.

I'm a bit surprised they didn't recommend intense counseling and remediation for the kids who want to be in the JROTC. What a bunch of jackasses!

"All federal money should be cut off from these anti-Americans."

I humbly disagree.

If the idiots over at DU said the same thing about school boards that voted against their ideals and practices, there would be screaming and gnashing of teeth here.

Federal money should not be allocated according to beliefs. Our system of government under our Constitution does not support this, nor the beliefs inherent in conservatism and the GOP.

Look, these kinds of decisions are repugnant to me, especially as I'm 40 miles away. The people who run SF, from the city council down to the school board, are a bunch of idiotic, knee-jerking morons. I don't like nor agree with what they stand for, nor their policies. They're a bunch of raving, barking mad socialists and outright communists.

But there is no public outcry over this, and I'd be willing to bet the majority of the population agrees with it, or at the very least has no problem with it. It's a local issue, and the Fed has no business determining local issues by tax allocation. The Fed does it with things like highways funds and such and I find it outrageous. As much as I dislike the SF mindset and their actions, it's a States Rights issue and they have every right to do what they are, with no fear of reprisal from the Fed. What they voted for does not violate the Constitution nor is it illegal, as distasteful as it is - and we may need the same powers they wield down the road to mend what they have done.

Patriotism is NOT mandated by the Constitution, nor should it be "enforced" by tax funds or Federal law/guidelines/regulations. Ever.

Besides, cutting their money simply means they raise state taxes, something the dems here in CA are chomping at the bit to do.

No, let the idiots in SF determine their own fates. If they continue down this path, and they lose students, and families move away because of it, then change will occur, as businesses fail, the schools get less money for less kids, and the people on the board are thrown out. Or, life will go on, and the populace of SF get what they voted for.

Unless there's public outcry and demonstrating in the streets, then I'd assume it's what SF wants. Let them have it. Just don't do business there, don't vacation there, and don't move there. If the people of San Francisco don't like teh actions of the board, then THEY need to remove them from their positions and replace them with people who reflect their beliefs and needs. The Fed has no business here.

We need to practice TRUE tolerance, to reflect the left's false tolerance, even when the libs do dastardly, cowardly things like banning ROTC. Calling for funds is in my mind acting like the libs do when we get their panties in a bunch. We need to STOP laying that game. Yes, what they are doing is cowardly, craven, and anti-American, as we believe it to be. But, it's their decision. Do you want the Feds coming in and determining all of the local issues to you? Especially if it's done by LIBERAL Feds?

Let them rot in their own mess. The only people that have anything to say in this matter are SF residents, and they are the only ones who can change it - and if they don't, then they are to blame, as much as the school board.

You are right. Why not cut out all federal funding to SF until they let the ROTC back in the schools?

"Federal money should not be allocated according to beliefs."

Having JROTC at a school is not a belief it is a method to teach young men and women about our great nation and to provide a method for them to participate in the greatness of the nation. While you say that the Constitution does not require this the Constitution does NOT require federal money be given to any education institution. So if the people of the anti-American San Francisco pro terrorist community wants to do away with JROTC in their schools they should also do away with federal funding for those schools. I could care less if they closed all the schools in SF and that might not be a bad idea. I am NOT tolerant of enemies of my country. It would seem that the anti-Americans in SF want to be our enemies.
