Sometimes it's the little things that trigger the rebellion of the oppressed.
It may not be as big an atrocity as others committed in the past, but if it personally affects a large share of the population, the people will complain. How strongly they complain remains to be seen.
In early America they didn't like the British taxing their tea.

Can't be taller than 14 inches.
They'll never know the joy of owning a Standard Poodle, the best damn dog ever.
Another reason communists suck.

Where is PETA in all of this?
Funny how quiet the liberal organizations become when the Communists are involved.

This photo is something to remember when some nimrod tells you that "all cultures are equally valid".
Michael Savage says often that a good way to judge a society is how it treats dogs.

"The Beijing crackdown isn't the first to make headlines this year. Here, officials club a dog to death in China's Yunnan province in April. Thousands of dogs were killed."

As a long time dog affecianado that photo makes me enraged. Completely par for the course for the fiends who run things in the PRC. That said, in much of Asia, people don't have their pets in what we'd consider normal preventive veteranary care and rabies is a real issue. So in a way, I don't blame the ChiComs for wanting to crack down. But their methods .... sad.

This is obviously not about rabies. It would be cheaper to give out free rabies shots throughout the country than to enforce this stupid law. As others have said, this is about control. God forbid that "good Communists" should have a tiny bit of individuality as expressed through their pets.
Instead of the Boston Tea Party, will they have the Beijing Dog-Washing? One can hope.

It was said many years ago that the reason for the Chinese huge population was that their lives were so miserable, sex was the only pleasure.
It seems that the Communist leaders found a way to eliminate that pleasure by limiting them to one child, forcing them to fear having sex.
The commies must have found out they were replacing a void in their lives by owning pets.

Lando Lincoln,
Photo of the innocent dog being killed by Chicom murderers ...
I hope someday that Bejing is consumed by fire and brimstone for their crimes ...
While I'm not famous for being an animal lover, the Chicoms invloved in these senseless animal killings should be shot ...

Rabies vaccination for dogs has been available for 100 years and is 100% sucessful.
The shots available for humans after infection are not any more painful than any other shot. Cost? They should have Wal-Mart sell them.
