Gee, I thought the scientific community had irrefutably determined that man controlled the Earth......

It used to be "the sky is falling." Now its "the climate is changing, the climate is changing."
At least that's the opinion of top climate scientist, Dr. Chicken Little.

reverting in some ways to more normal conditions . . . . . . as a result of Global Warming, no doubt.

Alright Artic, we are about to pull the plug if you don't toe the line.

Quote from article: "New patterns of cooling ocean currents, winds suggest region is struggling to keep its balance."
Struggle? A region essentially devoid of people can struggle? Where do these people learn to write?

It must be the mid term election results. The Dems are in charge now so the Artic is fighting back.

"This is a region that is fighting back," said lead author Jacqueline Richter-Menge, a civil engineer at the Cold Regions Research and Engineering Laboratory in Hanover, N.H. "There are things that showed signs of going back to norms, trying to right themselves under very dire circumstances."Gee, the arctic region is quite feisty. I didn't know it even realized, what was happening to it. It's nice to see that the arctic is aware and paying attention. I give it kudos for having the will to fight back.
(snicker... nice science...)

So...are these "scientists" suggesting that the Hand of God is at play here? How else can a 'region' be a conscious being?

..region is struggling to keep its balance. "This is a region that is fighting back,"
Wow, what personification! This entity, Gaea derived or a separate subordinate god, is now seen by the mighty scientific community as combating the evil machinations of powerful, capitalist Man. We must take pause and be impressed.

Local weather variations at Earth's upper latitudes create a seesaw of annual hot spots and cold sinks above the Arctic Circle that, combined with incomplete data records, can easily disguise longer regional climate trends.weasel words....obfuscation

This will dash the hopes of RATs in congress to parade some eskimos sweating in mesh tank tops under the bright lights of Henry Waxman's committee, with the intend to spread the man made global warming hoax.

...warming millions of square miles of permafrost, promoting lush greenery on previously arid tundras and steadily shrinking the annual sea ice. Oh God! We have got to to, somehow, stop this from happening!

" . . . may be reverting in some ways to more normal conditions not seen since the 1970s."
This phrase underscores one of the unstated - and erroneous - presuppositions of the global warming fanatics. Why do they take the situation 30 or 40 years ago as the NORMAL earthly climate? The climate is always changing, and it is completely arbitrary to set the situation 30 or 40 years ago as the baseline for a "normal" climate. The climate has seen extremes of heat and cold throughout its history. Who, then, can say what is normal?

Note the Gaia overtone, as though the Earth were a pagan mother goddess trying to "fight back". That's a little sick to me.
