Just cruise down any street in America and listen to what young blacks listen to (this isnt hard to do since they play their stuff at ear splitting decibels) and you here that hiphop/rap garbage, never blues or jazz. It'd take someone more versed than I am in human psychology to say for sure, but I suspect that there's something "innate" about concepts of beauty.

For example, the English explorer Sir Richard Francis Burton once noted that, no matter where he was, the women he thought were beautiful, were always regarded as such by the people of that culture, too -- and the same went for unattractiveness.

If we think about beauty as a reproductive strategy -- which seems obvious -- I'd say there probably is a strong biological aspect to it.

Yes, but only in context with the rest of her face. (IMO, full lips need pretty eyes before they're attractive, for example.)

Basically what he said was, pure black girls are not of video-quality. Reinforcing the stereotype that black girls with white features are more appealing, even to black men.

Dunno. I tend to find women with Caucasian features more attractive, whether they are chalky blond and blue, or very dark Indians.

Part of it is I like the way straight hair flows and bounces.

OTOH, as a species we are attracted to juvenile features, a chick is more attractive that a hen, puppies and kittens are cuter than cats and dogs.

A broader baby like nose should be more attractive than a sharp narrow adult Caucasian nose.

Yeah, but that's more like an "I'm cute, don't kill me" sort of attractiveness. I think little kids are among the most beautiful things on Earth, but they're not sexually attractive.

Apparently there's a pretty sophisticated science of trying to characterize physical beauty. Things like symmetry and proportion appear to be key in making a woman attractive to men.
