More like "Awakenings," I think. The trouble with a lot of these treatments is that they lose their effectiveness after a while. Still, so period of consciousness is of course preferrable to none at all.

Just let me go: I dont want to be only able to stand and clap my hands and I dont want to make paupers of my family by adding expense after expense in keeping me alive.

If I cant hold and speak to my grandkids let me get on to that place where I am at peace.

If she wakes up and wants to go back to sleep, she can then make the decision herself on whether she wants the drug or not.

That was my first thought Cindy! She can then make her own living will decision. I believe this drug was featured on a recent episode of House.

Zolpidem tartrate - aka Ambien. Pretty amazing that a sleeping pill can wake the brain dead.
