"It is unthinkable that Kofi Annan would do nothing," said a senior French magistrate Kofi Annan was complicit in the genocide.

If it weren't for Kagame, Rwanda would be "Tutsirein".

I was very skeptical at first
I've considered myself a Conservative, and the thought that something would cast a bad light on fellow Conservatives was totally abhorrent
but I couldn't discredit the sources cited in the footnotes. It speaks volumes taken in isolation, but even in an ideal World, nothing exists in isolation
NOTHING!

It raises intriguing and disturbing issues. Perhaps some other FReepers could help us out with this story.

Michel Chossudovsky is a yelping loonbat.
(A yelping loonbat is of the same genus as a barking moonbat, but of a less colorful variety)

I would read "Shake Hands with the Devil" by Roméo Dallaire -- who worked for the UN and Kofi Annan as the General in charge of the UN peacekeepers in Rwanda, who watched the genocide occur. The book is phenomenal and creepy all at once.
One of the best web sites is this one. It is an in-depth profile of the Rwandan genocide.
My opinion is -- this is the French' way of getting back at the Tutsi Kagame for overthrowing their allies, the Hutus -- who were incidentally the perpetrators of the killing of 800,000 people -- the French are, especially in this case -- evil incarnate and duplicitous beyond belief. They trained the genocidaires and did all they could during the genocide to keep the Hutus in power.

I had the pleasure and honor of having him and Paul Rusesabagina come down to campus and talk to the students. I even gott their signatures.
If these men weren't there, more would have been killed.

I think I'd first rather hear details from him about how he thinks President Bush planted explosives in the WTC and Osama bin Laden is innocent.
To: The KG9 Kid
I can't speak for him, nor do I have any idea what you know. All I know is what I've researched, on my own. Let me know if anything registers. Again
I know you can do more than name call
can't you?

Had you seen this?
Do you have any remembrance of what it was like after Carter's Russian grain embargo? I was with a rural bank when, right after we went out and convinced all the young farmers to borrow against their inflated land values
which exploded once the grain sales were announced. We encouraged these 'modern', scientific farmers to borrow against their increased values and expand by purchasing their less profitable neighbors. So when the grain embargo kinda caught these kids with their pants down
I was out stealing their cars, boats, trucks, tractors
snowmobiles
these were not fond memories. This IS PERSONAL!!!

I think I'm missing the point you're making with the links and the tales of your personal accounts. However, I'm intrigued enough to ask if you can summarize what you're laying in front of me here.
What I'm seeing is a bunch of seemingly disconnected items about the KLA, Caspian Sea oil deposits, Zbigniew Brezinski, Enron, Macedonia, Carter's agricultural policy, and stolen snowmobiles. It's bewildering me.
I thought this thread was about the massacre in Rwanda, but if you can package it all up neatly for my consumption, I'd steer away from being sorry that I asked in the first place.
To: The KG9 Kid
Oh, I thought when you dismissed Michel Chossudovsky, I thought you could back up your argument
what do you know? It doesn't work if you won't show me what you know
I know you can do it.
