Personal movie choices: Scrooge (1951) Scrooged (1988) An American Christmas Carol (with Henry Winkler doing an impressive job as a Depression-era Scrooge) (1979), Gremlins (1984), Lethal Weapon (1987), A Christmas Carol (1984) with George C. Scott.
There was also an animated version of A Christmas Carol that was made in the early Seventies and which I saw when I was younger; I remember it being very creepy.
I just realized I made it in the top 10! I love a lot of the typical Christmas movies but some make my skin crawl. lol Love Miracle on 34th Street. Cry every time.
'Planes, Trains and Automobiles' w/John Candy and Steve Martin. Great Thanksgiving fun.
Not exactly Thanksgiving, but it does make you think about the founding of the country and should make you thankful that you live in America, 'National Treasure.'
Both are family friendly, but won't hold the attention of very young viewers.
Evening.
Hugs.
Not much to get ready.
I'm working Turkey day.
Will have to enjoy cyber bird.
You know what MOJO I think best movies are going be TCM this weekend they going show old school family films like Easter parade and others just wrong they going show Peter O'Toole and Kate Hepburn Lion in winter about dysfuntcial Henry 2 family LOL!
The George C. Scott version of the Christmas Carol was quite good.
Lethal Weapon. I must have missed a few scenes..

Dorcas . . . was full of good works and charitable deeds. Acts 9:36
We leave fingerprints on doorknobs, on books, on walls, on keyboards. Each persons fingerprints are unique, so we leave our identity on everything we touch. Some supermarkets are even testing a technology that allows customers to pay by fingerprint. Each customers unique print and bank account number are kept on file so that the only thing needed to pay a bill is a scan of their finger.
A woman in the early church left another kind of printa heartprint. Dorcas touched many peoples lives through her unique gift of sewing and giving away garments. Shes described as full of good works and charitable deeds (Acts 9:36). We too are to be zealous for good works (Titus 2:14). We each have a unique heartprint that can touch another.
An unknown author wrote this prayer about encouraging others: O God, wherever I go today, help me leave heartprints! Heartprints of compassion, understanding, and love. Heartprints of kindness and genuine concern. May my heart touch a lonely neighbor or runaway daughter or anxious mother or even an aged grandfather. Send me out today to leave heartprints. And if someone should say, I felt your touch, may that one sense Your love touching through me.
Will you make this your prayer today?
