FORT WORTH, Texas -- A bloody brawl erupted outside a tavern after one customer thought another failed to wash his hands after using the bathroom, police said.
One man was hospitalized with stab wounds. Another was arrested on suspicion of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
According to a police report, the fight broke out Thursday after Eric Jennings Kisiah, 27, became upset about a customer's apparent hygiene failure at the Tumbleweeds Sports Bar.
Witnesses told police Kisiah confronted the customer and two of his friends, calling them names, telling them they were dirty and threatening to "slash their throats."
Kisiah then hid near a shrub outside the bar and charged the group as they left, the police report said.
One of the men, 25-year-old Morgan Jackson, was stabbed four times, police said. He was listed in good condition after surgery.
Kisiah was jailed in lieu of $20,000 bail. Mansfield Jail officials declined to let a reporter speak with Kisiah or say whether he had an attorney.
A call to the bar Friday went unanswered.
"You have to admit, depending on the condition of the rest room at your average bar, that there is sometimes a decision that has to be made. :)"
You know I have been in public washrooms where the condition was such that I'd rather not tuch the tap or the door knob. Thanks heaven for automatic taps and air-dryers,
now all we need is automatic or foot operated doors.
While I don't condone bloody brawling, good thing this customer was stopped in his tracks. He could have been spreading pandemic flu. /s
Ditto!
I can't believe it took 14 posts for someone to point that out.
TROP also demands that one wipe only with the left so sanitation aside, they seem to be quite focused on toilet habits.
"Wash and dry hands only to touch a doorknob that is infested with germs. Carry hand sanitizer."
Exactly! I do that one a daily basis and I don't go to bars anymore.
I know it's fun to slam the "ROP" but .... let's not show ignorance by doing it when we don't know what the hell we're talking about...
Please see post #40
That's another thing I do and if I can't reach the basket from the now open door, the paper towel goes to the floor.
I could never get THAT drunk.
Hey, I know where my d!ck has been. I have NO confidence about the toilet fixtures, door handles, etc.
And I don't shake hands. Period. Haven't been sick in years, so my d!ck is obviously less of a problem than most other people's hands or other appendages.
Not to mention the fact that pee is sterile, and may actually be cleaner than some of the beverages and food being dispensed at the low end bars/taverns.
Hate to disillusion, but it's clear that Eric Jennings Kisiah is not Muslim. Kisiah is a Biblical name common in the 19th century as a girl's given name here where I live (upper east Tennessee) --- as I have learned from my husband's geneology. It also turns up as a family name amongst Non-conformist (non Church of England) Christians from the Britsh Isles.
What you have here --- at least from his name --- is, excuse me, a White Anglo-Saxon ROP (Religion of Protestants.)
I had a couple of booster shots for the OS military series from years ago and the latest flu shot. It's not an immune system issue for me. Upper respiratory problem that lasted weeks.
I believe we are getting introduced to new exotic viruses. Tuberculosis is becoming commonly introduced by illegal aliens as I am told by a nurse friend. If some altered form of Polio or Smallpox emerges from some cholera-infested ditch we will have problems.
Buncha sissies! I always just assume a man's hands are nasty and don't stab him unless he tries to touch me with one of them.
Another chapter in the Kelly Rippa - Clay Aikens controvery.
Duh?
"This game has been played 8,365 times, and is 0 peoples' favourite game."
I think I'll pass.
I don't get excited about bar fights anymore, I've lost and won enough of them to not care much anymore. I just noticed a pattern that appeared familiar.
I always shake my head too. :-)
Let me see...
It was at a bar.
Sorry. #1.
