When I went out this morning, I had associates from Macy's and Sears wish me a Merry Christmas. I was quite surprised, and thrilled about it.

The bell ringers were in front of Walgreens today. I thanked the manager. He told me he didn't even know about Target until just recently and that the Salvation Army has always been and will be welcomed at his store.

Zogby's online poll today, was on this topic.

Wanted to know what "offended" you, use of, or refusal to use "Merry Chistmas" by stores and their help

I've been doing their polls for 6 months or so, and every one (about 2 a month or so), asks of your Walmart shopping habits along with your party affiliation and religion.

Well, if you are going to say they are "bowing to pressure from conservative Christian groups" then you had better acknowledge that they had been bowing to pressure from liberal interest groups when they decided to ban Christmas. Of course the liberal press never recognizes other liberals as pressuring anyone.

I understand that not everybody celebrates Christmas. However, it's also foolish to gloss over 'happy holiday' when the 'holiday' itself actually refers to Christmas. So, I think if they want, companies can do both:

"We wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy Holiday!"

No Christmas Trees or Holiday Trees at my local Target today.
Just plain "Trees." Guess they didn't want to take any chances

I don't care what they are writing, Kohls is not using Christmas in it's ads although they have a countdown to December 25th.

...conservative Christian groups, which normally frown on the commercialization of Christmas, were upset last year because stores did not mention Christmas in their holiday marketing.

Gee, is there an editorial comment, there?

I was about to buy 12 items at Sears, then I noticed they had two signs:

"Happy Holidays"

"Feliz Navidad"

I asked for the manager, then handed him my items and told him why I would no longer be shopping at Sears.

I thought that Lowes learned last year. Once again, they are selling holiday trees. I don't know what a holiday tree is.

I just talked to Lowes' manager about "holiday" trees. He agreed with me and said they might have put up signs from last year. He is going to get it changed.

Bowing to pressure from conservative Christian groups, several U.S. retail stores are reverting to the "Merry Christmas" theme this holiday season.

Typical Lame Stream Media twisted reporting. Sure, Christian groups pressured stores, but I would say there were a great deal more of the 'not so religious peeples' that told the stores how they felt with their letters and their pocketbooks.

Of course, following their logic and reporting, if Christian groups are pro Christmas, pro religion, it follows that those liberal groups that are trying to get anything Christmas related eliminated are anti-Christmas, anti-religion.

Personally I am Jewish and I enjoy, Channaka, Chanuka(h), Hannuka (Season of Many Spellings) However this great country was founded based on Judeo Christian values and Christmas is Christmas.

Happy Holidays is when we get to have a vacation, celebrate a day to get off from work etc.

To all my friends, family and acquaintances, MERRY CHRISTMAS. I do not shop at the Happy Holiday store. And if anyone tells me "Happy Holidays" I will ask "What Holidays" until they say "Christmas and New Years"
