The last person to meet Alexander Litvinenko before he succumbed to the agonising effects of radioactive poisoning is a self-professed expert in nuclear materials.
International 'security consultant' Mario Scaramella, who joined Litvinenko for the now infamous clandestine meeting in a London sushi bar, headed an organisation which tracked dumped nuclear waste, including Soviet nuclear missiles left over from the Cold War.

No wonder there are conspiracy theories.
I mean with a headline like 'Sushi bar man is nuclear waste expert. . .it was bound to be 'funny-bumped'.
That said, some seriously interesting stuff here beyond sushi. . .
It would appear that he is KGB and more than likely, double agent. ..
Liittle has been said of 'Vladimir'and 'the bodyguard', Andrei Lugovoy. . .who left London (returned to Russia?) before Litvienko was 'diagnosed and done'. . .
that said; check 'spanalot's link/post 26'. .
.[ . .LONDON: A mystery Russian who met former KGB spy Alexander Litvinenko at a London hotel on the day he was poisoned has emerged as the prime suspect in the hunt for the assassin. Mr Litvinenko, who yesterday suffered a "major deterioriation" in his condition, told Scotland Yard detectives he had arranged a rendezvous with an old friend, but was surprised to find another man present who introduced himself only as "Vladimir". (more). . .]
This whole thing is painfully wierd; but fascinating, nonetheless. Probably story; interspersed with bogus fill as well.
One thing for sure. . .WE will never know all the details of this 'whodunnit'/spy drama. . .but certainly different with info 'flying' on the internet; than the response to these crimes in the 'old days'.
The poison definitely came from Moscow

Papa always said "Don't eat raw fish"
With a headline of:"Sushi bar man is nuclear waste expert..." Can you blame anyone?
Fugu me!
Following headline from Drudge via Daily Mail/London:
Passengers called forward as radiation traces found on planes in spy death probe. . .
Wonder who won't show up. . .
this aint the ol days of the KGB. We would have never heard of this type of thing happening 25 yrs ago or more. The internet has changed the spy v. spy game so much.
