spineless-pussy-alert.
Is the world getting the message? It takes a backbone to be a Christian.

I am not a Christian but yet I'm offended by Christians being put down - most especially at Christmas which is a CHRISTIAN holiday (and yes I do celebrate Christmas). Neither am I a Christian but I still celebrate the Christian festival which I've always loved. If offence is taken to this!......TOUGH!!! How about we ban May Day so that people of a Conservative view don't get offended!!.....oh I can hear the shrieks and crys already.

I would like the name of the officials that are offended. So would I. I'd also like to see the mayor go on the record about this, not just his spokesperson.
Daley, I really hope you have presidential aspirations because now you can just kiss them goodbye.

What is so difficult here. . .these people would not be enjoying 'life as they know'; were it NOT for the Judeo-Christian
ground that our country was fashioned from. Period. It is a part of America's fabric; it is an American heritage. . .and hopefully an ongoing one.
Do not understand why this celebration/recognition cannot be considered a 'heritage remembered' by those who find fault with Christianity; and by those who cannot find the courage to tell them they are free to ignore it.

But they probaably would allow a Gay float or something similar so they won't offend the homos. They don't care if they offend Christians.

Christkindlmarket translates literally into Christ child market. If they do not want to honor the Christ child they should change the name.

Sad but true. I have found that most people who you say Merry Christmas to even if they are of other faiths will smile and say it back or say Happy Holidays. I really don't think it offends as many people as the news media wants us to believe.

As I understand it my hometown will, however, include a mock beheading of an infidel as well as several demonstrations by Islamoterrorists from a local mosque on how to strap explosives to your body and detonate them in a holiday crowd! Fun for the entire family!

ESPECIALLY given the fact that Christkindle means literally Christ Child... OOPS! Better not let the officials know that, or they will have to change the name!!!!!
