Get used to it. The incoming Liberals will be "jerking ***, the American people starting in January.
Exclusive? Didn't we hear about this two years ago?
I am not an expert on military preparedness, so maybe someone else can enlighten me. Do we currently have the resources to engage Iraqi terrorists, the Taliban in Afghanistan AND Iran at once, while still having enough in reserve for the "unexpected" need to fight (1) another terrorist sponsor, (2) North Korea or (God forbid) (3) China or Russia, if need be?
If not, how fast can we assemble these resources, and what will it take?
Nothing.
This is an act of war with Iran caught red handed in it.
Yep. Because of Russia and China's support combined with Europe's fractured nature, Iran can do whatever it wants, and they will.
Well, they are merely coming to the aid of the Shia militias which are a political party with representation in the Iraqi parliament and cabinet, and which have kept al-Maliki in power. It's not an invasion or act of war against Iraq-- though it could be against us.
NUKE IRAN!!!
Okay? So, what do we do about it?
The MSM and the Democrat-controlled Congress will be talking about "Crazy Bush" and how we must solve this diplomatically.
The Iranians are providing new weapons, NOW, that are killing American troops. What more do we need to know?
Why should Iran quit? After this election they know the US will only stay in Iraq until the end of the Bush administration. If we do not have the will to stay in Iraq,
we are not doing anything to Iraq unless they are so stupid as
to attack the US directly and openly.
President Bush should come out and say publicly, "The next coalition force member that is killed by a weapon or IED that can be linked to being manufactured in Iran or by a member of Iran, the United States will view as a Declaration of War."
If they know exactly where the factories are then we need to take them out.
Instead of fighting honorably, they hide behind terrorists, women, children, etc.
I almost wish I could go over there and do something about it myself.
Please. They are fighting the only way they can. To fight "honorably" is suicide. We didn't fight the British "honorably" during the Revolution. You fight the way that gives you the military advantage.
President Bush is already workin' hard making the tough decisions to do the hard work of workin' hard.
Good question. Here's a thought.
Invite the leadership of the various Iranian dissident groups to Iraq, for weapons training on the newest and greatest US technology, then let them take it back home with them.
Iran would make a great testing ground for our new weapons systems, like that new assault rifle that lobs frag grenades so that they burst directly over the heads of bad guys hiding behind cover.
Especially if it doesn't risk US troops.
Nothing like a little home-grown insurgency to distract the Mullahs from international mischief...
High time to "negotiate" with Iran and Syria...
